My quess is the hairs weren't Meredith's either, otherwise...doesn't help the defense. Looks to me this could lead to the conclusion the murderer wore something over their head and face. If the hairs turn out to be Michelle's, it just makes this crime even more despicable.

I knew that hair in her hand wasn't going to be JLY's or else he would have been arrested when they got those results back, or certainly faster than he was. I have a feeling none of these have useful forensic results.

I think Ms. Holt should have shown her a crime scene photo of Michelle and ask her to identify her "sister" and very good friend. She should have also showed her the NCwanted video of JY saying "you came here for that". A little bit of confrontation may have gotten better results.

MM didn't really help either side in the end. She did establish the affair, so I guess it was foundational, and she confirmed a couple things, but nothing sensational. Bummer.

I wonder why they did not take a sample of fiber from vehicles, while it may mean nothing, if they have unidentified fibers, the possibility remains it could have come from a vehicle. The question would be whose vehicle.

Of hair samples she looked into - none were consistent with JY. She had no sample of Michelle's. Most hairs longer than 20 cms, JY's were 7 to 8 cms.

Yes, yes, yes. In fact, Holt handed her one, and MM seemed to take a short breath & I thought it was a picture of MY at the scene, but it wasn't. I'm not sure it would have mattered... but she needs to know the man at whom she was nearly batting her eyes in the courtroom.

Fran, I think they did. DNA folks will have to testify to the results of that analysis.

This is very limited - a comparison to the hotel carpet only. I wonder if there were fibers on Michelle's clothes and the sheets not consistent with the clothes Michelle had on or consistent with Cassidy's jammies.

I'll be gone most of the day. Bad news at the eye doctor yesterday, have to see a retina specialist today, and when I get this *fixed*, I have cataracts in both eyes. So have a long trip into Raleigh in a little bit. The vitrious is tearing or sticking to the retina's in both my eyes.
