Is anybody else having problems with channel 11 coverage? I laid down to take a rest, long day yesterday, and now I can't seem to get video back again?

Yep, hasn't worked all afternoon. I had to switch to WRAL.

Anybody know what criminal case was to be started today in Johnston Co.? Hubby was at courthouse all day for a 'criminal case' juror. He said the judge finally called them all in, swore them in, and dismissed them, saying 'something had come up with the case, and they could all go home, wouldn't be called again to serve for another two years.'

The FBI agent said he didn't come across this type of shoes very often in casework. Apparently criminals do not normally wear hush puppies.

As the venerable vets of WS predicted, this shoe print testimony, along with the soon to appear shoe receipt, will seal the deal. If I were a juror, it would be awfully hard to pay attention after the shoe receipt and testimony that is upcoming. I would still try to pay attention and not form an opinion, but it would be very, very difficult.

This is his shoe that he owned, and it's a fairly uncommon shoe (FBI shoe guy has never come across it before and he spends thousands of hours looking at shoe prints!)

151 foot impression lifts made in this case total, not all were of value.

This guy noticed the baby's footprints in blood...sock prints! He could see the fabric marks in the impressions.

Where are those socks? Did I miss them being mentioned?

I was called to jury duty, taken twice to courtroom. Blacked out and they had us wait at the door. 75 people for one case. They came out and said they wouldn't need us and sent us to another case and same thing there.

Went back to the jury call room and they thanked us for our service and sent us home. Plea deals reached in both cases.

The one forensics guy did mention the socks this morning. Like the other poster said, he could 'see the pattern of the socks in the print.'

Current witness has testified over 25 times, but she still seems really nervous. She knows this is KEY.

Hang in there, Special Agent Morrow, you're doing great!

ot on jury duty, most people would be happy to be sent home, but maybe your hubby thought he'd get something interesting? My only service got me for a week long cocaine trafficking case, which was really interesting and netted me $50 a day juror pay (woot! big cash when i was in college!) I haven't been called in over 20 years, though, and I'm pretty sure I'd be rejected by defense at this point in any event based upon my education. Oh well. Glad I got to serve once at least.

I'm watching on WRAL.com and it's driving me crazy. I keep getting the time out message after just 3 minutes of viewing. Normally it's 25 minutes.

The Bruno Magli shoes nailed OJ in the civil case. No way to explain him wearing these expensive shoes (rare), photographed when he was announcing for the Bills team, 9 months before the murder. Photos were authenticated. Receipts existed showing purchase. Note that these photos came in too late to make it into the criminal trial.

These hush puppies will nail JLY. They are probably the strongest evidence, IMHO. Shoes, esp. shoes not commonly found, are pretty hard to ignore or explain away.

He said all those called today were for this one case. And that the judge swore them, all the jurors, in, and then dismissed them. I don't recall it ever happening in that order, actually being sworn in and then dismissed. Hubby wasn't looked at for any other case, just what ever this particular criminal case was. But he was actually sworn in, hand on the bible and all, before being dismissed. Just seemed very strange and secretive. We were hoping there hadn't been anything in the Teghan Kliba/Jonathan Richardson case, he didn't want to be on that one.

They didn't get this HP shoe identified for >1 year.
Persistence paid off for Agent Morrow....she could have easily given up.

Probably a plea agreement at last minute, GL.

I'm getting it a lot, too. Maybe there are many people online live right now?

Does this witness have a NCSU lapel pin? She said she went to Carolina, and i can't make out the pin clearly on my monitor.

Yes, persistence did pay off for her. She is a very good analyst. She is doing a great job testifying on this.

I've heard about this happening to several friends. Apparently last minute deals aren't that uncommon.

Thank you for the info about this lapel pin.

Wow, they offered to manufacture a discontinued shoe for her from the HP factory in China! I'm very impressed that they would do that, but the atrocity of this crime is quite compelling and I would think most people would do all they could to help with an investigation (well, everyone but MY's husband.)

My husband seems to get called on a regular basis, and he gets chosen a lot. He's an engineer, retired now. He didn't want to 'get picked', he's thrilled to be coming back home again. Johnston Co. is very rural, court house in Smithfield, approx 45 minutes from where we live. Very different from when we lived in Raleigh, Wake Co., where JSY trial is being held. This was hubby's first time in Johnston Co. Courthouse. His other services were in Wake. Co.

Cool....she had the Chinese make a pair of HP Orbitals.

I am sure Agent Morrow was very persistent and persuasive in order to get a shoe made for this case. Great job the SBI lab and CCBI did in this case.
