Well, if you think Raleigh is difficult, don't head into Cary. That, IMO, is much worse. GPS devices help. I think any new city is difficult until you get the layout.

My husband and I got lost in cary one night. It was awful, we ended up heading towards, what is it, Holly Springs maybe? Knew we were going in the wrong direction then.

Most smartphones have GPS capabilities nowadays, so you don't need to have a dedicated GPS device, though if you have one they absolutely help. I happen to have one and could not find my way out of my driveway without it. :blush:

I have both and tend to use GPS mostly though when I need directions. Rarely need it in Raleigh but almost always in Cary. LOL I hate it when the streets change names without turning and you have to turn to keep on the same street.

IKWYM -But if you'd kept going, you might have wound up back in Cary anyway. That "town," as they like to call it, pop. 143,000, winds around like a drunk on a bicycle. And they have nice little cozy and intimate neighborhoods...

In fact, if you & your husband had turned onto Holly Springs Road and proceeded north, you would have seen Fielding Drive on your right, and Lochmere subdivision on your left. .
