Collins said 30-45 min for cross.
She is nervous, so this may not go too well.

I am going back to the possibility there was a co-conspirator that met JLY at the house that night.

I don't know. Who in the world would he find to help him kill his wife?

The thought of her handling a gun scares me a bit.....:rocker:

Just when I think the state is getting some momentum, their case falls flat again.

So when the camera pans out, any WS'ers in there?

Why is he asking her about fingerprints? Isn't she a footwear/tire track expert?

I think we're long-lost twins.

For a couple of reasons, huh?!

He doesn't look quite as jovial or as chipper as he did first thing this morning, and I must agree with JTF -- JY makes me <gag>

Her gun is bulging.....

She is a top-notch agent, IMO -- as someone else said, she goes above & beyond, and her little bit of nervousness will go away. Very well-spoken and knows her stuff. Not likely to be tripped up or confused under cross (but that's not how this DT operates, anyway.) I think she has a good career ahead of her..... just like MY did....

General observation: Overall, IMO, for a trial of this magnitude and amount of CE, this has been a clinic in how to do it right!

Care to elaborate??

The size 10 Franklin shoes (primarily), cig butt, unmatched DNA on jewlery box and hair.
The shoes came from Dollar General and I doubt seriously JLY anticipated dealing with bloody shoe prints. If he was that clever, he would have removed the pillow that had his size 12 HP shoes plain as day.

Wonder if the Judge will offer 2nd degree, like the Cooper case?
It may salvage a guilty verdict....otherwise 1st degree, when there is credible evidence suggesting someone else was there too, may border on reasonable doubt for some jurors.

I just find it hard to believe somebody else, somebody who buy's their shoes at Dollar General, would have kept his/her mouth shut for this many years. Are you thinking some 'good ole boy' from the mountains, Brevard area possibly? I've never been to Brevard, but I have been to some 'Deliverance like' parts of the mountains.

I just can't imagine why size 10 Franklin shoes (mens design) would be in the house.
It is not reasonable (for me) to think he brought them with the intention of throwing off the detectives.

Oh crap! She looks like she is going to cry!

But wasn't it reported somewhere that he was a big CSI fan? And maybe since he planned this murder he had the shoes to do just that?

The state said the 'plan' was a soft kill....strangulation.
I agree.

And sometimes it could depend upon how much wear the shoe sole has, I would think.
