I understand why people are upset with JY's mom about visitation of the minor child, but we've only heard one side of that story thus far. Other than that, why are people bashing this witness.

Maybe it's my southern roots and respecting elders, but I don't feel his mother should be vilified. I see no reason for it...at least not yet.

I think it's safe to conclude that she has completely recovered from the murder of Michelle.

When anyone else was shown a photo including Michelle in it, you could see the grief, the melancholy in various people, upon seeing Michelle in *life*. She always had that big smile.

I agree. She's all smiles describing photos of Jason, Michelle, C and Mr G (the dog).

Describe in own words mood at wedding. Fun time, everyone happy. They were liviing at condo then. Just two of them. When C born she was in Raleigh. When she found out, she was already there visiting daughter and M had gone to dr and had to do C section because C breech and couldn't turn her. She can't recall all particulars and M upset because she wanted natural. Sis and mom went shopping buying gifts and heard she was at hospital and J so excited, he saw C born! He said still working on M and he got to go with C to room and he let mom hear her cry. He was very excited and taken by her. He called her his 'little glow-worm.' She made him happy. J loved her and stayed in hospital with M and changed C's first diaper. When they got home he was excited when M could pump milk and he could give her a bottle. He was great with her!

Mom has seen pictures when they got home. View photo, id it. Front of home very happy with C and Mr. Garrison too! She wasn't there when they took the picture but that is representative of how they looked that day. yes, yes. showing picture to jury and describing to jury, (mom). Note announcing C, Stork sign in yard. Sis came down to see baby. More photos, J&M&baby.......

Photo of happy trio and mom etc., staying at a lake cabin. More vaca photos and more photos of that time in their life. Very happy.



NOTE: of course we have the testimony of friends who talked about how he wanted a divorce, etc...........

I have southern roots too, RN, so I can see that you might be charmed by this woman's flowery comments and sweet appearing nature. I suspect there is another side of her though, especially when it comes to defending her son.

Oh, yes, he loved her. He gave her away.

For me, it's the fact that she showed no sadness after michelle's murder, and whooshed cas away immediately afterwards. And listening to the 'most wanted' phone call. And that she had no empathy for Linda and Meredith, no understanding of how important Cas was to them after losing Michelle.

Fair enough Gracielee...thanks for your perspective. I would like to hear the other side of the story. Was she keeping C. away, or was it JY? And the public support or no C. comment did not come from JY's mother or sisters.

I just don't like seeing the families of the victim or the accused trashed or mocked on the internet.

I'm certainly open to criticizing her if I see good reason, but thus far in this trial, I have not seen due cause. JMO. :seeya:

I'm sorry. I'm not bashing the witness, but I can't imagine testifying at a murder trial and smiling. Just seems a little inappropriate. I know she's trying to portray J all sweet and happy, but....................

Is momma young attempting to say Michelle didn't instill good eating habits in C prior to her murder? Obviously the child had been eating table foods for some time, most likely beginning with fresh fruits and vegetables. At least that's the way it was with my own grandchildren.

If they loved M.Y. so much, then why wasn't M.Y's mother welcome to come to Brevard along with M.Y. for Thanksgiving? Don't you do things to make people happy when you love them? That one thing would have made M.Y. very happy and it cost nothing.

No--she was visibly pregnant in the photograph, and the car accident miscarriage she was only 5 weeks along. It's unlikely she was showing at all then.
