<snipped>

- the computer searches on 3 different websites on how to knock someone out, trauma of a head knockout, etc.

<snipped>

- Little C's audible on 911 call (that many of us heard), "Daddy did it"

To the first, this will sink his little ship.

To the second - there is a reason LE had a search warrant to take the SUV as soon as it was returned to Raleigh. What possible probable cause could LE have found to take the vehicle and all the luggage of the husband who was in Virginia on a business trip ?

O/T: If anybody else is trying to follow this case and the Casey Anthony case, Yuri Melich just took the stand again. And the way JB says the word "panties" makes me nervous. That is all.

  • #183
No more than 2 additional witnesses - either side total.

  • #184
Okay, remind me again who Yuri Melich is?

No disrespect to the jury, but I think that it will do what it wants regardless of how much doubt there may actually be. Unless they have one hold out, then if they really want to convict JY, they will. The eyewitness testimony from 2 witnesses will not prevent a conviction.

Let's see how the state rebuts. I don't think they need to do much except say ignore that other testimony.

As far as the 2 women having the wrong day; I don't think so. I mean what other day before or since would the house been lit up and 2 strange cars there? If anyone was there for legit reasons, they would have come forward. Both ladies saw lights inside and outside the house when it was never like that before? And two strange cars. That's too coincidental, IMO. I believe them. I don't know who the people were or what they were doing, but it certainly creates a mystery for me.

Two hour closing arguments limit. Defense apparently asked to recess early, to discuss with their client as to further witnesses or if he wants to testify himself. Is that what I heard, I'd stepped out for a moment?

Lead detective. Also known for his good looks.

Thanks, I've basically been relying on JVM and our lovely and talented *nancy* for the ICA trial. Are they still on defense or rebuttal now?

The one that shows up living in Raleigh/Fuquay-Varina is 85 years old.

I found a female Hensley not named Faye on Birchleaf, so Faye could be related to that person.

And possibly as late as 4:00am.

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility to conclude that the car was there at 3:30 and there at 5:30. Particularly if there was some cleaning, drugging of a child, and cleaning themselves off at the hose out back. Honestly, it makes it look more like a hired job to me.

If they both saw a similar car at the residence at 3:30 and 5:30, that means it wasn't Jason's car.

The amount of coincidence of all the things JLY did, said, his throwing away clothes, shoes, his doing those computer searches, etc, etc, etc, would have to be completely ignored to conclude that someone else did this murder.

How unlucky could one guy be that on the morning his pregnant wife, who he did not love, was brutally murdered, overkilled actually, he just happened to be staying in a hotel in which a door was propped open by a rock, a security camera was unplugged and later moved, he is seen near midnight heading to the exit, wearing clothes he could never produce, shoes that happened to match the pattern made in his wife's blood at his house, a guy matching his description and temperament is remembered purchasing gas at 5:30am 45 min away, his 2 yr old daughter is heard on a 911 call saying "Daddy did it?"

Pretty unlucky, eh?

Really, what ARE the odds of all that happening to this one (unlucky) dude?

Before the last 2 witnesses testified, I would have thought it wouldn't hurt, but now, if he's smart he won't. So maybe he will. LOL

I was out for an errand. Are we adjourned for the day?

Agreed.

I still think he did it. And I still think he did it alone. But I won't deny that the last two witnesses, together, have me not quite as certain. I would still be surprised if the jury came back anything other than Guilty, but stranger things have happened.

I completely agree, and I hope the ADAs can really hammer that point home during closing arguments.

Correct.

PM'ed you.

In light of what the two ladies said about seeing someone else at the house, I would think it would have helped JY's case if he had argued that someone set him up. Why didn't he do that? It certainly looks that way. Either he was set up, had helpers or has a magical travel machine. LOL Boy, I hope the state really answers this on rebuttal. My big issue though is that if they state had an explanation for the 2 ladies accounts, then why not address in in their CIC?

Yep, pure bad luck.

OT
Sure are alot of those bad-luck types in trouble... reminds me a bit of Amanda Knox and Brad Cooper bad-luck.

Mrs. Beaver had to drive past 10 driveways to get to the Young's, plus she approached the passenger side first if she was leaving for work like she said....how the heck could she see jewlery on the driver if, as she stated, the car was coming out of the driveway forwardly?
I'm looking at the map of the neighborhood. Didn't she say she saw jewelery on the driver?
