Selective hearing is always interesting to me. Guess she missed the part where the 911 operater was instructing Meredith of what to do.

Was she not the teeny bit *upset* that her big bro left poor Cas alone in the house after beating her mommy to death? :banghead: Oh yeah, some stranger entered the house and beat a pregnant woman to death, for no reason. The elusive RDU serial killer of young mothers.....:maddening:

Pat Young, mother of Jason, leaving the witness stand. She doesn't speak at all to Linda Fisher or Meredith Fisher (who turns to watch her) as she leaves.

I'm trying to figure out why the state asked JY's sister as witness why she had questions with the 911 call. SHe said she wondered why caller didn't aid MY first and also why she asked child to step outside the room when she didn't know if if it was safe or not. I think that's a good point. I think that if the defense had tried to get it in, it would have not been allowed. Odd IMO.

No doubt, RC. Selective hearing and selective questioning. Both seem to be present here.

I wonder if she heard Cas on the tape 'daddy did it'?

I noticed that, Madeleine. She turned her back on them as she exited. I imagine her visitations with CY are interesting. Do we know if she regularly visits CY?

Prancy, if you remember, MF was following 911 protocol. So, there is nothing odd about it. At that time, MF would have probably assumed it was suicide or an accident. Remember MY was face down. It was quickly determined she was most likely beyond help.

The state is showing where the Young clan started to question and/or point fingers towards Meredith, even subtly. This exposes their underlying bias and cruelty towards the Fisher family.

Oh, I'm not arguing she was correct with her misgivings. My point was why would the state want to bring out her misgivings, because they aren't helpful to the state. That was my point.

I'm not a pro-defendant in this case. I'm just very picky with evidence and strategy issues. LOL

Joe is a funny guy - doesn't remember what year he got married.

Doubt it hurts or helps the state's case, Prancy. I have no idea why they asked it either.

Funny how for many of these witnesses, when asked about how JLY and MY "were", the first thing they say is they had arguments.

Jason was just the life of the party, 'get nekkid and do genitalia tricks'. What a prince. Would that one of my daughters could have married such a fun guy. Every mothers dream.

< sarcasm off >

Maybe not. It did cause me to think about it though. It doesn't change my mind that def. did it, but makes me wonder a little about that issue. When just one jury member can get distracted, it makes me worry.

I hate when couples fight in public. To me, those things should be kept to themselves.

Yeah, and when you and your wife have that reputation for discord, add on an affair, mother-in-law issues, and you think LE are not going to put you under a microscope as the killer. It boggles the mind someone could be that stupid. Go figure.

JLY admits to his friend at a football game he thought he was "in love" with MM and joked wouldn't it be funny if MM was pregnant from him.

Seems none of JY's friends/family wanted to ask him about Michelle's death. I rather suspect they were more afraid of the truth than anything else. They certainly were on a mission to change locks and fix that broken garage door after the fact.

The prosecution seems to be making some hay with the defense witnesses. JD is not helping the defense at all, but at least he is believable.
