who's the older man who handed a note up to Michelle's mom, who then handed it to a man in front of her, who then handed it to the lady beside him, who then handed it to the prosecution table?

was that enough of a convoluted question? :D

Does anyone know if MSM, like Dateline of 48 hrs has a representative there in the courtroom? I can't watch any video on my laptop and I hope to see this on tv in the future. TIA

Pros rebuttal witness:

Travis Branch...............back in Nov '06, how were you employed? news delivery.....you still do that? yes...............how long? 15 years.

Were you regualr deliv person in this neighborhood? yes. You recall 11/3/06? yes, talk to le? yes.....

Between 3 - 5..................entire route. Is that neighborhood your entire route? yes................2 to 2 1/2 hours.

I drove white minivan! did it have any markings? no plain white van.......it was his personal vehicle.

did you see anything unusual in neighborhood that day? no

Did they have sub at 5108? at one time, at that time they did not.

did you pass that house, though? yes..................anything unusual that day? no...........................tell officers? yes I did.

You verified you were working with LE? yes.......

def question..................

lawyer just verified he talked to LE, yes I did

Pros again....................verifying, he talked to LE more than once. He talked to them right at the time, LE pulled him over. At that time he was only one who came through there.

witness excused

JUdge is going to let jury go back and he'll talk to the lawyers and see how long the end of the trial will take, not exact words, meaning closing statements.........................

OMG that's IT!!!

Forget showing his lies in rebuttal! WTF?!?!

  • #487
She simply did not give him a chance to repeat his lies. I don't blame her, I wouldn't give him that chance either.

Right, she ask a relevant question- he either lies, denies, doesn't remember or doesn't know :loser: :banghead: .

wonder what he's thinking right now ...

I didn't see it happen but the guy sitting right behind her is Howard Cummings, another ADA. He was one of the prosecutors in the Brad Cooper murder trial a few weeks ago.

What did the delivery guy testify to? Anything? I don't understand.

def again asks for dismissal of charges.

court dismisses motion.

go to jury

Judge said he's not in hurry for (housekeeping stuff)

Judge doesn't want to split arguments in this case. He wants it all at once

Each side will probably be a couple of hours.

Judge wants to let jury go and have charge conference and he'll tell lawyers how he'll instruct the jury. That'll take until about 4 and they can start fresh in morning.

Asks lawyers, they agree with Judge........

Jury returning...........

Ms. Holt did a fair amount of testifying during her cross of Mr. Young asking things which he could lie about or whatever, but names were put out and the question was done such that a reasonable person would know that information came from someone who knew Jason and told LE about the scenario. His demeanor spoke volumes as well.

He said he delivers his papers between 3 and 5 AM and that he didn't see anything at he house at that time.

To show Cindy Beaver was wrong about what she thinks she saw. Not the "right" Friday morning.

I have to work tomorrow. Oh well, I'll miss the closing arguments on this case and probably the mistress' testimony in the Anthony case.

I think his comments about not seeing anything unusual differs not only from CB but the NY Times lady. I did not hear him but there are two ladies who say they saw a lot of lights on and also CB saw the vehicle in driveway.

I think of Kelly Siegler, ex prosecutor in TX. She would have eaten JLY with a fork & knife. She would have x-examined him for hours. She would have gotten him to repeat every lie over and over and she would have impeached his butt.

This is what a real prosecutor does when they get the golden opportunity to x-exam the defendant.
