Turns out he resented Michelle...Heather was to be CY's new, "great mom"

Fortunately, CY didn't receive her looks from her <mod snip> father, as she is as pretty as her mom.

I'm making a list of all the "coinky dink's" that happened surrounding Jason Y and the murder of a pregnant Michelle Y. i knew there were many, but not this many. It's a long list and I'm not done. I will say this "If " Jason Young were truly innocent he would be the unluckiest man that I've ever come across.

Moo moo moo moo

I sure hope the Prosecution has their list of every one we have been seeing here on the threads. I hope they elaborate on every single one in closing arguments I do think they have started to paint a better picture than they did in trial 1 but this has to continue. All the puzzle pieces have to be made crystal clear!

While we're all dissecting the evidence, remember one of the judge's instructions to the jury, often times when they're released for the evening or weekend is something like, "We're still in the middle of this trial and although you've heard from prosecution witnesses and there will be more, then the defense has an opportunity to present their case. Until we've heard all the evidence to be presented, I don't have to remind you that you are not to reach a decison as to innocence or guilt of the defendant until we've completed the trial and you're given your instructions and begin deliberations..............."

So, while each piece of evidence, (piece of the puzzle) is compelling, we need to remember, the jury is not making a decision yet. For them, it's no ONE thing they're going to base their decsion on, but a totality of the evidence, both pros and con. I think it almost makes it more difficult from the outside looking in, because we can discuss it and we get hung up on one thing we aren't sure about and we become conflicted.

I hope you all are making your list! It'll come in handy to go over while we're on verdict watch. Sometimes deliberations can seem like they take forever and it'll give us an opportunity for each to bring forth their 'important' case points that contributes to each of our guess as to guilt or not. Oh, and try and find your {hook!}.

Now that JLY is out on bond, I wonder where the young clan are holding up during the trial. No reason, just curious if they have friends in the area. They certainly can't be trucking back and forth to Brevard. Does anyone know if both of Jason's sisters are married with children? Also just curious.

Last time, Jay stayed at Harrison Hotel.:D
Pretty sure someone said Pat and Bev were downtown too.

Heather is married to Joe McCracken. I know they have at least one young child. Kim Young (39), DVM is married to Gary Hasset (64) (from Australia)...no children...they live on a very small horse farm near Aberdeen NC

JTF, do you think if Kim were subpoenaed (sp?), that she would testify? IIRC, someone, thought it was you, seemed to think that she had serious doubts and perhaps evidence to give?

How old is Heather & what business are she and her hubby in? All just curious again. Trying to get more of a *feel* for this family.

How did MF get in the house without her keys?

Gary showed at the last trial for a day or 2.
I have reconsidered Kim's stance. When he said "I have lost jobs, family, friends"...I think he meant MY as family.
Pretty sure Kim Young is still firmly behind her little brother.

Heather is 34. Last trial she said she worked at a daycare.
Joe is 35 . Last trial he said he was a truck driver for a lumber company.

The garage door automatic mechanism had been broken and still wasn't fixed. The garage door was closed, but MF knew of the broken garage door and was able to lift it up manually to get to the inner door to the house.

Wouldn't you think MY would have locked that inner door before going to bed? Of course Jason could have entered any door since he would have had keys. Isn't that the door where we have heard new testimony that MY's blood was on the doorknob? So the killer (IMO, Jason) left by that door and kept it unlocked. If MF had found that door locked she may have given up trying to get in to retrieve the ebay papers.

Actually, we are guilty of leaving our interior garage door unlocked often, knowing the exterior door is secure...I know, not smart.
I'm thinking it was just habit for MY

Still...it could have been locked and Jay used his key and failed to re-lock it in the panic after the botched plan?
...Or he left it unlocked so it would appear to be no forced entry.

I thought I saw a CPI sign on one of the doors on a picture of the house. If so, too bad they didn't use that regularly...

  • #196
Testimony is they didn't subscribe to CPI. The stickers were there from a prior homeowner.

There sure is a lot of personal information about the extended family of the suspect on this forum.

As I recall, each and every person mentioned either testified or was mentioned in testimony.

Public record information can seem intrusive, but it is legally transparent, non the less.

Well, he didn't fix the heat, nor the garage door. One would think, after hearing those noises outside, JLY would NOT have left his pregnant wife and toddler alone in the house without at least fixing that broken garage door.
