State wants answers from Baez

http://www.wesh.com/casey-anthony-extended-coverage/27038138/detail.html (ARTICLE)

"In his own motion to strike the request, Baez accuses prosecutor Jeff Ashton of asking the court to require the defense "filings that are not required by any rule, case law or statute in order to assist him in the preparation of his case."

Baez's Motion to Strike States motion for Rule to Show Cause

http://www.wesh.com/pdf/27038010/detail.html

Wah Wah Judge the state's attorney is being mean to me! He's writing me memo's/emails! Make him quit! And let me run the defense the way I want!

ROFL And I told you that he would complain that he tried to contact the court and they didn't get back to him. Bottom of pg 5

And, of course, he had a chance to slip a little :anguish: about how he's "accommodated" Mr. Ashton by working TWO Saturdays! He's working 24/7 to defend his client and Ashton is picking on him! :trout:. :banghead:

And then JB offers a veiled threat to request a continuance, which would be the fault of said "picking on ".

Hmmmm - seem to recall HHBP saying he would schedule things on Saturdays - don't think the "I had to work two Saturdays in a row" is gonna' fly. He'll be working many Saturdays in a row once the trial starts.
:werk:

omg. is....this.....dude.....serious??? why are we not, as taxpayers, allowed to know how the 200,000+ dollars were spent while they sit there wahwahwahing about how they are outspent. no. this cant be justice. how can this be justice?? The thwartnification of the defense is on a whole different level that i just do not understand.

I am on the run so I can watch the hearing tomorrow - flying through this thread to read your comments as no time to read Baez blitherings until tonight with a cocktail in hand, but.....Thwartnification?????? :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::skip::skip::skip: How perfect is that!! :great:

Maybe someone should remind JB that it cost more and takes more time to prove someone is innocent when they actually aren't. jmo

Better get two.....one for each hand.

BBM - So this is where we are going with this? Poor JB, who wasted two years doing absolutely NOTHING, is now complaining about having to actually work (that IS what he is doing... he is complaining because he actually has to work), and because the State actually expects him to work, he may have to file a continuance? Why am I not surprised? :loser:

Haven't had time to read the thread (or the stomach to read the response) but isn't the point that he did not follow a court order? He should have just thrown himself on the mercy of the court, apologized, said here is the stuff, and moved on.

Lets hope he speaks better than he writes, because that Motion was terrible. At least try Baez.

:floorlaugh: Wow 2 Saturdays in a row..did he believe that he'd never have to work another Saturday or weekend in his life....:floorlaugh:

:boohoo: and :hand:

FYI....Many people work 6 days a week.
FYI....Many people who have deadlines to meet work 6 days a week.

Welcome to the REAL world Mr. Baez.

Unfortunately, 3 years of law school cannot teach common sense if you don't already have it.

Approximately 10:00 - 14:00 we have the discussion of the Frye motions. Baez claims in his motion that Ashton is forcing him to work Saturdays and accuses him of diverting him from the case. He also complained that Ashton hadn't replied to some of his motions in limine. Baez nicely left out that Ashton has been hampered severly in getting depositions from he defense experts because of his "missed" deadlines!

IMO YES...

Yes, my thoughts exactly...

Of major concern, IMO, is the Failure to follow a Judge's Court Order.

IMO, it has little to do with Ashton and Baez....but everything to do with Baez FAILING to follow Chief Judge Belvin Perry's Court Orders. AGAIN.

IMO The Defense is thumbing their nose at Judge Perry's Orders.

Page 5

"Mr Ashton has no legal authority to make such a request, and to require the Defense to shift its focus from the pre-trial preparation of a death penalty case to assist the Prosecutor in defending a Frye challenge results in a considerable prejudice to Miss Anthony and the Defense of her life.

This is especially devastating to a Defense that is outspent and out-manned in every aspect of this case"

There we have it AGAIN :deadhorse:
THWARTED by money and staff..:boohoo:
:twocents:

I don't think I have anticipated a hearing so much in my life! Now, after reading this little gem by jose angel I am almost foaming at the mouth in anticipation.

Judge Perry will deliver a few bear in minds and I was led to believes in his questioning of the unprofessional baez, imo.

It will be a thing of beauty, imo.
:woohoo:

Yes.....this complaint about working on Saturdays......from the SAME man who complained about "slave wages" to a Judge of African American heritage.

Brilliant.

This latest motion by Baez has set a new standard, once again he's outdone himself. Truly laughable.

Not to mention the extra poundage he has put on. He has gained at least 25 pounds since his interview with Kenny' Baden's wife on Geraldo.

Oh boy! JB better run. It's not anyones fault that he acts like a 5th grader waiting to do the science fair project the night before it's due. He is going to get a beat down by HHJP, I can just feel it.:loser:
