There, I deleted all my posts about Terri and my observations/opinions of her. Now let the fawning continue uninterrupted.

I would like to suggest a little something to appease everyone...

It is intresting to me how we make observations about someone we know in their professional role and generalize it to their whole persona. As much as I like Terri and Bindi Irwin and feel I "know" them, the truth is they are strangers to me. I "know" the wildlife warriers Terri and Bindi Irwin. That is the Terri and Bindi I should know. Its appropriate that the majority of the time when I "see" them they are adorned in their tradmark Kahaki clothes. However, I recognize this is only one part of the persona which makes them whole. I am sure they have complete wardrobes, and other intrestes and hobbies which have nothing to do with thier conservation work at the Zoo which I have no reason to know or expect to know about. From the interviews I have seen of Terri, she is a bright, compassion, energetic and loveing person and mother and I am confident she is doing a fine job raising Bindi and Bob. Sometimes we need to remember that making judgemnts based on observations that are only a part of a complete picture is not accurate.

I am sorry you delted your posts. Your opinions count and are just as important as any other sentiment expressed here. Agreeing or not agreeing with what one says is in my opinion not what posting here is all about. Communicating, sharing ideas and learning from each other is what IMO forum interactions are all about. Respect for one another is a cardnial rule here and I do think that rule was broken during this communication between you and Narcalat but prehaps it can be reestablished? Is is our different opinons and observations that make the convesting that goes on in forums like this so fuffiling and nurturing. I hope you are able to realize how important your own input is to that and in the future not remove your own thoughts from any thread. It is important.

Thank you mjak, that was sweet. My opinion(s) haven't changed. But I felt attacked because I made what was IMO and was my intention, a lighthearted comment. Yeah, I guess it was somewhat superficial but it wasn't meant as an attack on such a beloved person. It's not worth it to me, I like the Irwins and all but I don't have to be in a discussion about them, that's why I deleted my posts. It was moot because they are quoted and can still be seen, so it was more of a gesture on my part.

It's also not worth it to me to get into a discussion with a certain poster. I avoid her at all costs because she is so offensive (IMO) so why I even posted on a thread in which I knew she'd swoop in and get ugly baffles me. Brain fart I guess. But it won't happen again.

Anyway, hope to see you on another thread!

You didn't have to delete your posts on my behalf Shopper, you are entitled to your opinion I can't change that.
If someone had of come in and backed you up I'm sure you would have felt better, but noone did...for whatever reason, maybe noone agreed with you or maybe the people that did agree with you weren't online at the time...

I swooped in and got ugly?
I disagreed with you Shopper, that's all- its a discussion board, people disagree with each other all the time around here.

I agreed with Shopper, but didn't feel I needed to state my opinion since she had already done so, light-heartedly at that!

People need different things in their lives and shouldn't focus on one thing because that's not healthy. No, I don't know the Irwins so I probably don't have the right to say anything about their perceived obsessions (thank goodness they are beneficial obsessions), nor am I perfect. :D

I think right now, they need their khaki's, frankly. The main figure in their lives is gone, and keeping up that routine is safe and comfortable. This is also their life, and I guess khaki's are the way to go....

Did Elvis walk around in his fancy white suit all the time? (No, really, I'm curious!)

Beyond that, WOW, Terri looks gorgeous in that "ball" picture. They are a beautiful family.

I have seen Terry and the kids in normal wear quite often in the media here. I guess the yucky green is part of the Zoo image. All the Zoo wears it. Not my thing but whatever.

I guess that's the only image we see here for the most part!

Eh, who am I to speak. I wear the typical "Mom's" uniform all the time!

I swore to myself that I would avoid this thread from now on but I just heard a teaser for ET. Coming up they are covering Bindi Irwin "and her mom's glam new look". Interesting IMO that they would put it that way. Maybe the producers of the show were stunned to see her out of her zoo uniform.

I cannot understand the big fuss about what Terri and Bindi are wearing, why not focus on what they are trying to do and teach us about the environment, if we dont do something about our environments there will be none. Then were will we be. We need to take a leaf out of there book and support the wildlife warriors (an organisation that study environments). Go the green khakis you are doing a wonderful job.

Shazza, as you can see most of us hold the Irwins close to our hearts. I, for one have changed for the better because of what I learned from Steve. I admire the Irwins for what they have done, what they stand for, and for the very goodness of their souls.

Best to you Shazza,

Lion

Thanks Lion, I think people think to much and make their opinions about people by what they wear or how people look, but what about how a person thinks, or what they are like inside. You dont judge a book by its cover. The irwins are real genuine people who care, if there were more of them what a beautiful world we would live in.

So true Shazza. I said in a previous thread that if we had more people like the Irwins in this world there would be less wars. I truly believe that. I will miss Steve. He is only person I have seen only on TV that I grieved the loss of as if I knew him. I cried like a baby for days. I still cry every time I see something about him on TV. But, I am beginning to smile more when I see him and his family. Good memories are returning.

I only think about the good memories. Steve was just your typical Aussie Larrikin. He was the kind of bloke that everyone took to. He was beautiful and will be sadly missed but remembered still through his lovely family

Thanks Sunday for your kind words, I do take things lightly when needed it just annoys me when some people are superficial. Some people should keep there opinions to themselves.
There is a saying here: People who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones. Thanks again Sunday for making me feel welcome.

Why must you be so negative and judgmental when it comes to other people's thoughts and opinions? If it does not intrest you can't you just leave it alone instead of belitteling the author of a statment? There is no reason to intersect a negative flow to the convesations we have here.
