The OPP urged residents of the area to be on the lookout for the man, whom police have so far only identified as Steven.

Police said Steven was last seen in the area of Reynolds Drive and Oxford Avenue on Wednesday.

While he could not release many details about the matter as of later Thursday afternoon, OPP Cst. Joey Mason said the public can rest assured that, despite the heavy police presence, there is no threat to public safety.

Provincial police were searching an area of Brockville's east end for a missing man identified as Steven, 61.

“Residents to the east of Brockville are urged to routinely check additional buildings such as sheds, detached garages, etc. on their property,” said police.
