Just one more convenient lie for the prosecution to help deceive jurors.

So I went hunting for a picture of Bobby's room... I guess it's in MaM2 somewhere, I can't recall seeing it in the show, but maybe in an episode I haven't watched yet. Will post if I can find a screenshot ... I don't have time to go looking through MaM to find it lol

I watched all of MaM2 and don't remember seeing it.

I'm not sure that it was something that was pointed out, it just happened to be in the show the though? I am hoping to have the time to finish it this weekend, I will watch for it.

OT: just curious where you are from Sustained? Or are you just up really early? LOL it's 5:13am where I am, or what I like to refer to as Stupid O'Clock ;-)

Couldn't sleep last night due to MaM2 LOL ... I live near Atlanta. I am an early riser anyways and work with a bunch of German folk, so I always have a barrage of emails in the morning.

I have question though ... when Bobby was interviewed in 2017 by the CCSO, why didn't they show him the pic of the computer in his bedroom after he told them it was never in there ?

ewww early riser! ;-)

I'm not sure why they didn't show him the pic. I just happened to come across the audio of his interview last night but didn't have time to listen to it yet. I didn't even know someone got a copy of it! Will post it here so I can find it later and hopefully listen to it after work :)

My opinion on the computer is that they used it as leverage so Bobby would testify for the State. Regardless of who we believe killed Teresa, or who could have killed her, who had the opportunity that day, it's hard to ignore the shadiness of some of the players here. Even Barb, now saying they didn't even have internet? Bobby originally saying he went with Steve on the Friday to check out the lights that Chuck saw, then denying it later... the no fire, then a fire, and that was from multiple people. I think some of it was pressure from LE, some of it was trying to protect themselves and maybe other family members. It's hard to find the truth in all of this... and I don't know if we will ever find it.

Tyson's video of Bobby's bedroom was definitely shown in MAM2. They pan round the room, not only do you see the computer but also a rifle, Bow and Arrows and a picture of Bobby's Blazer. Cannot remember which episode though. Don't forget that a lot of the dodgy searches and 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 occurred after Steven was arrested.

edit - Bobby's room can be seen - MAM2, Episode 8 at 49 mins.

I did listen to the whole interview and Bobby sounds calm, cool & collected. I don't doubt there were a ton of lies and half-truths told by SA and the Dasseys. But if you believe BoD killed Teresa, you have to believe Brendan had nothing to do with it. And I do believe that Brendan was involved in the coverup, both based on his statements to his mom and to LE. And I also believe Barb lied as she knew there were viruses and 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on the computer and was trying to protect her son(s).

IMO, all of the Averys and Dasseys know who killed TH and play dumb when necessary.

I will go back and watch that - thanks. If true, that does indeed mean BoD lied about the computer ever being in his room. It doesn't mean it was there all the time, only 11/12/05. Were there pornographic searches done on 11/12/05 ? IIRC, there was no browsing activity between 10/31/05 and 2/21/06.

I would not be surprised if all 3 of the Dassey boys were searching 🤬🤬🤬🤬 given their ages and natural curiosity. There were a few boys in my daughter's HS that have been charged with possession of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

Some interesting reading on here about the Dassey computer and the dates and searches etc.

Zellner’s new motion: Dassey computer was in the Dassey residence from Nov 5 - 12, 2005 while law enforcement had control of property. Zellner says computer records are missing from that same time period. Did the State later delete records of computer activity from a time when only LE had access?

I binge watched MAM2 and don't remember it LOL. There was a lot to take in with 10 episodes and a lot to absorb.

It wasn't just Avery's & Dasseys though IMO. The whole thing from investigation to Trial was shady as all get out.
Take your pick i guess.

Not sure how this even makes sense ... LE had control of the Dassey property from 11/5-11/12 which included the computer. Why would there even be any computer activity in that time window ? Is KZ insinuating that LE monkeyed with the computer ? If so, why would they have found anything at all ? Anyone that is computer literate can erase a hard drive in minutes.

From the document of Gary Hunt's findings of computer deletions:
(quote)

Using 2017 technology, I have detected eight periods in 2005 when computer records are missing and presumably deleted from the Dassey computer: August 23 - 26; August 28 - September 11; September 14 - 15; September 24 - October 22; October 23 - 24; October 26 - November 2; November 4 - 13; and November 15 - December 3.

And from page 40 from the same link:
(quote)
It is highly significant in any investigation if there is an attempt to delete or destroy records. Mr. Hunt has identified 8 times when there were deletions on the Dassey computer. Those deletions are very important because they correlate with Ms. Halbach's visits to the property.

It is also of note IMO that it also states:
(quote) RSBM
Unlike the Dassey computer, no records were deleted from Mr. Avery's computer, indicates that Mr. Avery did not attempt to conceal his internet search activity and moreover, that his computer activity reveals no 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.
(unquote)
And no, SA could not access the Dassey computer because the residence was always locked unless someone was home to let him in, and SA didn't know the Dassey computer password to be able to gain access to it.

That is new information to me.

It would seem to point to some correlation between computer activity by someone in the Janda/Dassey household and Teresa's presence on the property. This computer activity would seem to be something worth concealing.

Or a mother who knew there was 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 on the computer and tried to clean it out to protect her son(s).

ohhh thanks so much @guruagain! I will try to watch it later, I didn't recall seeing it in the earlier episodes, and of course... I just finished 7 a few nights ago ;-)

I do agree that the search times do not give a definite answer to who did them, but there has to be other ways to figure it out, they do it all the time with child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 cases where the computer is accessible to more than one person. Whether they can tell by who is logging into emails, or something like that, there are other ways. I think it's most concerning that it wasn't actually looked into, regardless of who did it, and because of that Barb tried to have her computer wiped. That is the reason we see nothing between 10/31/05 and 2/21/06 IIRC from the motions filed.

As for young boys being charged with possession... I think that is fairly new, I don't recall that happening back in 2005? But in this case, it wasn't even looked into. What if it was Tom? or a grown adult? Not cool IMO

This bit is what I was especially pointing out:

"Those deletions are very important because they correlate with Ms. Halbach's visits to the property."

I'm curious about the correlation between Teresa's visits and efforts to scrub the computer.

After all, they do seem to have left some pretty egregious materials, so there is reason to suspect it's not just 🤬🤬🤬🤬 that was worrisome.
