Oh, the things I want to say.

Keep him locked up. No community is safe with this guy out. His 14 charges if you look it up, can, per shrinks and has lead to actual molestation, rape, murder, etc...He's one step away like the 12 year old kid who mutilated the neighbor's cat, only way older. Austin Siggs at 65, not caught yet. They can blow or they can just remain sneaky pervs. Scary to me.

Be careful whoever let's him in their neighborhood. Nasty habits are hard to break for someone this old. jmo

He was released today.

Powell’s daughter, Jennifer Graves, testified against her father and has said in the past she’s got some fears he may retaliate once he’s free.
“He would definitely have to have a spirit of vengeance to be coming after somebody, Chuck or us, he would actively have to give up the rest of his life to achieve that, but so I don’t think he’s going to at this point,” she said.

What a travesty. It's our system and I'm a voter so... I guess I am to blame to a certain extent.

I hope he causes harm to no one else, even though that's unlikely.

I hope he ends up back in prison for some other reason as long as no innocent man, woman or child is involved.

Where are you Susan?

Steven Powell wants WA state to pay for his sex offender treatment: http://www.thenewstribune.com/2014/04/16/3151330/steven-powell-asks-state-to-pay.html?sp=/99/296/ … #findsusan #Utah

Steven Powell asks state to pay for treatment

He was ordered to get sex offender treatment, but wasn’t offered it while incarcerated; state says he didn’t qualify

snipped

“Powell fails to cite a single statute that mandates the department to provide him with sex offender treatment,” the assistant attorney general wrote. “Powell cannot cite such a statute because no such statute exists.”

....back and asking for a handout. Of OUR tax money! Yeah, get the treatment and the state can give you a BILL just like people who have alcohol classes for DUIs!

Unreal this guy. He's a <modsnip>.

I would think he would be safer staying behind bars. I'm willing to bet there are going to be several people waiting on him when he is released and he will wish he could go back! Karma is going to slap him hard!

Make him pay for every one of his sex offender treatment/classes and attend, even if it's brick by brick of his house. Hope he won't go to them though & he's thrown back in. jmo He doesn't relate to reality. Wise a$$ every step of the way and apparently always has been.

Doesn't he have to go through that psycho-sexual evaluation too? ha ha, I hope. I hope he has to pay for each class with every brick of the home he can't live in. People do pay for their crimes and don't own more than a backpack & minimum wage job, why shouldn't he? Waaah, waaah, waaaaaah, cried the convicted child voyeur.

Go Washington State!

I dont think he will survive long in society after what happened to Susan (and what he did to her) and the boys.

Ha ha. He can't pay with his house. I believe it will be auctioned off to pay the judgment for the civil suit he lost to the the girls he photographed! Bwahahaha! He should have a government pension and social security, and that is it.

Yes, you are right. At least he can't say he doesn't have an income to pay for that treatment with the pension & social security. another little snicker...

So he's living in Fife now and taking the bus to the Federal Way transit center? Great! I hope they have him a flea bag motel, but no doubt he will be moving my way, seeing as Pierce County is the dumping ground for the state. :furious:

When and how will we know when he takes up another residence? RSO site?

He is living in some kind of motel/halfway house. I saw it on the news. Looks like an old motel with a locked chain link fence around it. The manager/owner was mean as cuss yelling at the news cameras to get away and quit filming the place. So, it is sort of like jail, but you get your own cell and can leave during the day. Still an awful place to live.

I am wondering why his house has not been auctioned off yet. I suppose that is the reason Terrica wants the life insurance money to go to her kids instead of the Coxes--if the two youngest are left penniless, they will come live with her. One is severely mentally ill and the daughter appears to be his caretaker. Neither has gainful employment and she would be stuck with both of them.

Thanks! That's what I figured. Fife has a lot of old run down motels that have people that live there. I suspect that some of them serve as overflow to the homeless shelters. . .transient, voucher type places.

It looks like Steven is at the Glacier Motel. I'm not surprised. I rarely venture down in that area. There is no good reason to go to Fife, lol! It's one huge speed trap. But there is a great, old fashioned, little burger stand place down there. I was running errands close to there about 2 weeks ago and stopped at that burger stand. It sceeves me out to think he was so close. :yow:

For the record, it bothers me immensely that he is riding Pierce Transit. Too many of our vulnerable population have to rely on public transportation. It just gives me the shudders to think that some of my past clients may have to share a bus with him. Maybe if we're lucky Steven will accidentally get on the Metro 174 and karma will get him.
