strange noises in wisconsin

It is pretty ironic that it comes after what has been going on in Clintonville and now Montello..

it is all part of the Government conspiracy and cover up.....

TMJ4 news just said that seismologists are reporting a 1.5 (very small) earthquake in the general area of Clintonville. It happened about 10 minutes ago. Hmm...

Oh how convenient.

I don't believe them.

If I have to bring cheese, should I bring my cows and my tractor too?? :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:

Indeed. However, I can not guarantee the crack addicts won't steal your tractor for scrap metal and just any old persons will steal your cows for the fact they'd want some cows.

Other than that bring em' HO. We use whiz on our cheese steaks though.:D I'll hook you up. If there's underground noise you won't hear it over the police sirens.:what:

The geologist said he didn't think the magnitude of the earthquake could produce loud enough booms to wake residents.... What aren't we being told???? Cue conspiracy theorists....

There have been a lot of larger than normal earthquakes worldwide recently. I wonder if the earth's plates are resettling around those that moved?

Still think the plates settling is the best explanation for the sounds especially since this "quake" was reported to have occurred there.

USGS: Micro-quake near Wis. city bothered by booms

"MILWAUKEE (AP) -- A minor earthquake occurred this week near the eastern Wisconsin city where researchers have been investigating a series of unexplained booming sounds, federal geologists said Thursday."

SEE IF U CAN SPOT HIM LOOKING OUT THE WINDOW NEAR THE END OF THE UTUBE VIDEO IN THE POST #59...RIGHT AT THE 1:06 TO 1:09 POINT UN THE U TUBE VIDEO HE KNOWS ALL.

Yellowstone is waking up.

Is there any fracking going on close by? That caused a lot of problems in Arkansas.

Here's a vid from youtube. Not posting as to it's veracity or accuracy, but it is interesting.

FULL VIDEO - Strange sounds heard worldwide 2012 - Something is definitely wrong - YouTube

I think it's a natural phenomena...not thinking it's aliens or the earth cracking or anything like that (which some people insist). Some of the sounds strike me as strange echos of mechanical noises, but some I just can't place.

And I honestly think that some folks are honestly, truly unnerved by the 2012 stuff, and may be looking for "signs in the sky" or whatever. I think *they* think this is doom/gloom, but I don't know that I agree.

Interesting, whichever way you look at it.

ETA: Some interesting Wiki reading. But it's Wiki...take it for what it's worth.

The Hum - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Some of those noises from that youtube video came from the movie Red State. (Warning: graphic violence before the noises start on this movie)
Red State (Trumpet Scene) - YouTube

Edit: Ugh! I just read the summary of that movie Red State. That people would watch such a warped movie is far scarier than any strange noise out there!

A 1.5 earthquake is roughly the same as a semi driving by your house. Unless it happened *immediately* below your feet you'd never even notice it. And it would last a second of two. I have no idea at all how it would cause 'booming', etc over a period of days.

Most people I've talked to around here don't think that the mini-earthquake caused the noises they've been hearing, but that it's a possible indication of something subterranean going on.

Clintonville's city Administrator was interviewed on WGN radio this afternoon, and she has heard/felt some of the 'booms'. She went over all the different things they've checked out. It sounds like they've been pretty thorough. She also said that they were bringing in some kind of special equipment that would capture some of the activity, and that they were even putting it in an undisclosed location to guarantee it wouldn't be tampered with.

So as I laid in bed trying to fall asleep in this heatwave in maine. I started hearing noises. At first I could swear it was similar noises from the videos. That strange freaky noise. Then it was an airplane, and another. I guess I never realized I lived below the airport freeway. And I am in the country. It was so loud and busy last night. So my question is, could the noises just be more noticeable because the end of the world, to some, is near? Can it be echos from a jet? I eventually did fall asleep, once the air traffic quieted down. Oh and my windows weren't even open..

KOS, you mean power of suggestion? I believe in that. It's a real phenomena, but in these cases no way.

Some people that hear this have no idea about 12/21/12. Example possibly the elderly. Alot of older people don't believe in that stuff anyway and pay no mind. How about little kids? Did they hear it? Are the aware of ends of days?

Hey, I'd probably think I heard something too, but this isn't a jet. I live smack in a busy city. We're on a flight path of commercial airplanes however we've had military jets fly over on ocassion. O.K. that's a huge difference. But, but, but when I'm staying in Virginia Beach in some hotel and them super loud frightening jets go like right over your head you take notice. It's not like hearing a jet here. That stuff makes me cringe. Like everything else you get used to it.

Naw, these people in Wisconsin are like "It's like a wrecking ball smacking the house". Huge difference than paying attention to things that have been around us we pay no mind to.

Cracking up about the heat wave. I hear ya.

Being a vet of some really large quakes, and living my whole life in/on an active faultline, I am having serious trouble believing the 1.5 mag quake is making the noise.

I don't know what it is...but I don't think it's the quake.

However, we've had so many really huge quakes in the last 4-6 years, that I wouldn't discount the earth's crust settling from that. My difficulty in believing that wholeheartedly is that the noises sound too rhythmic and too machine like, generally, for that to be the case.

Of course, I also don't know what the earth's crust settling down might sound like, either.

I don't know. It might be Yellowstone waking up at that.

I think it's safe to assume it was a government/military test or project. Earthquake? Please.

I don't think anyone's saying the quake has caused the noises, but simply that the quake may be another symptom, along with the noises, of whatever is going on.
