There were cheers and a couple of shouts of “Vive la France” as the carriage carrying King Charles and President Macron rode down Windsor’s high street outside Windsor Castle.
But perhaps the loudest - and certainly the highest pitched - was reserved for the third carriage carrying the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Many of the royal fans I had spoken to here before the procession mentioned how much they were looking forward to seeing Catherine in particular.

Queen's dogs had puppies and stayed with her and got great homes. William and Kate most likely will do the same as the queen did, and puppies will be in great hands.
The Daily Mail has great photos but makes too many mountains out of mole hills.

Dogs' shelters beg to adopt animals which are abandoned by owners.
The shelters are full of homeless dogs which are miserable & feeling unloved
It is important that people understand the problem.
To adopt rather than buy from breeders.
The same situation is in my country.
It is really a problem.
Some people treat dogs as toys to be discarded.
These Organizations simply do their job.
They organize fundraising for food, blankets, toys for abandoned dogs.

Wishing His Royal Highness Prince George of Wales a very happy 12th birthday today. It is hard to believe he is 12 already. I clearly remember how big a news story it was when he was born and the first photos of him with his Mum and Dad outside the hospital. He looks so grown up in the recent family photos from Trooping The Colour and at Wimbledon.
