Support Thread: Tony & Leonard Padilla

Thank you, Tony, Leonard and team, for trying. I hope you will come back and talk with us and continue to give us your thoughts and input. God bless you guys and keep you safe.

Tony, Leonard, Rob and crew:

You guys are a class act. In my opinion everything you have done has been handled with honesty and humility. Even when the newscasters attacked you. Especially Shephard Smith and Jane Velez Mitchell. You were respectful and handled the situation with grace and honor. True gentlemen.

Leonard and Tony,

I am proud of the way that you have tried to handle this case. It was obvious at the onset that you had worked out a strategy with Mr. Baez in order to assist Casey's bail so she could get out to work on finding Caylee. When you gave your word to "Team Casey", you had an established set of guidelines to follow, put together by you and Mr. Baez. It was apparent that once the bail and bond was set, and Casey was free, the terms of your involvement changed. JB and his group changed the game on you. Casey was not out to coordinate efforts to find her daughter. She was out to build her defense.

Now that Casey has been rearrested, the surety group has put the bond on hold. Leonard and Tony, you have honored your commitments to Team Casey, even when JB changed the terms.

Please do not allow Mr. Baez to bully you into doing something that you do not feel comfortable doing. Mr. Baez does not understand the safety issues at play. He wants Casey out because it is more convenient for him if Casey comes to his office every day as opposed to him going to the jail.

You both, and your team, have been stand up men. You have behaved honorably and with integrity. Yes, you gave your word to Mr. Baez, but it was for another scenario that JB agreed to initially to get you to coordinate the bond. Once the bond was a done deal, JB changed the rules, your roles and your objectives.

YOur entire crew can walk away from this knowing that you tried to put Caylee first. You tried to do what you could to bring Caylee home. You tried to protect Casey and her family.

There are other clients out there that would love to have you guys on their team. A client that would actually work with you in a case like this. Give them your expertise, your sweat, your time, your devotion.

Living in Central FL myself, I want to tell you how sorry I am that you have been treated this way. I'm sorry that you have taken hits from the media, strangers and anyone not working with you. I am sorry that people have tried to manipulate you.

This is America. And you have the right to change your mind, voice your opinions and alter your plans to accommodate your change of mind.

I'm not sure I expressed this the way I wanted too. But, I feel strongly about this.

Again, thank you for everything that you have tried to do. You guys have been true gentlemen. We have been blessed just watching you try to do your job.

Respectfully,
BeagleMom

I really appreciated seeing Leonard Padilla on the air in this case and both L Padilla and Tony Padilla doing what they did. Leonard was like a breath of fresh air, and was such a gentleman, even in the face of unbelievably rude and sensationalizing members of the media, who were harping on and on with the same morbid theory and refusing to consider any other possibilities. I am still on the fence in this case. I still think there's a chance Casey is innocent and I am still very much praying for Caylee to be found alive and well. Anyway, thanks very much Leonard Padilla for stepping in and being a voice of reason in this case. I only wished that you could have looked into some of the avenues that the police have not seemed to be investigating-- I know that wasn't/isn't your job at all, but I just had the feeling you would be able to find something out! Best wishes to you.

I think if Casey really gave jose & the family real leads the proper thing to do for CAYLEE
is for them and him to hire a trusted DETECTIVE.

A detective that Jose sets up a meeting with Casey to look for this person or persons she says has CAYLEE.

If he does not hire a PI
to get real info from his client i will not trust anything he says.

What do you think Pidillias?
Isn't a good PI required to be involved here?
How about Dayle Hinman?
Or somebody like that?
A profiler?

Leonard
what are your thoughts on the latest news of the Dna being Caylee's from the car trunk?

Tony,

I'm not sure if you read this thread anymore but if you do I have 1 question. The local media reported that Casey's bond (the 500,000.00 one) is still on hold and that she could get out this week sometime. Is this true?

I'd like to say Thank you as well. You guys were trying to do the right thing.
Bless you

Gentlemen ,all .....
adding my thank you to the others for all you have done
I believe your efforts were very important and added to the quest for the truth in this sad case in ways most will never know about
you were "breaths of fresh air", so to speak, as far as I'm concerned..
all the best to all of you!

HAS ANYONE HEARD FROM TONY AT ALL?
I WAS HOPING that he would come back soon to tell us all the stuff that he couldnt tell us before..????

Well, i admitted here at Ws - I didnt like the Padilla's and thought they did this for publicity but after watchin Leonard on Nancy Grace tonight-- he is the only upstanding sane person to have survived being around the Anthonys and not drink their kool aid !

Good Job trying to set that bunch straight Leonard-- and thank you for having hope to bring a live Caylee home , only to realize Casey doesnt want her to be found.

I wish you all luck in all you do from now on.

Tony, if you are still reading here please come back! You said at some point you would answer questions for us that you couldn't comment on before. I for one am dying to know answers to some of those questions. Please?? Pretty Please????

L.Padilla,
Please return to help find Caylee. Not to bail Casey back out. I really think you can help. :)

Bounty hunter Leonard Padilla is back in California, but said his team is working to find where the dumpster near Casey's abandoned car was emptied and may try to search that area. (From Local 6 News, 9/3/08)

Thank you Leonard. I knew you wouldn't give up! You want to find this precious child as much as the rest of us. You are being realistic (unlike others which shall remain nameless) and know DNA does not lie. Thank you and your team from the bottom of my heart!

Thank you Mr. Padilla for everything you have done. Thank you for being so truthful with us and making appearance on different shows and telling it like it really is instead of trying to cover things up!

I want to take a moment and say that I've been following this case from the very beginning. I have watched almost all media coverage of the case and so have seen quite a bit of what Leonard Padilla has said about Casey/Caylee.

I know people did not agree w/ Leonard & Tony's decision to post Casey's bail. I don't know that I agree with it, but in hindsight these guys had a hunch that Casey MIGHT talk if she were out of jail and went half way across the country and took a chance on that. Sadly, after meeting her, the family, etc. and getting involved first hand Mr. Padilla (Leonard) realized that everyone's worst fears were more than likely going to be realized.

What I'm trying to say is yes, Leonard WAS outspoken in his opinion that Caylee was alive, YES, he did change his mind and he was vocal about that. BUT I have to applaud a man who has the courage and conviction to think the best of a very bad situation until he was sadly proven wrong.

I think Leonard Padilla is a man who works with some of the worst people imagineable but still wants to believe the best of them. He is a man who voices his opinion and doesn't want to hear any "bunk" but he is also able to say he's wrong when he's wrong and do it with humility and compassion.
Mr. Padilla, even though you wear the black hat, you are a good guy in my eyes.
