What I found painfully true was when Ford said the worst part of the assault was hearing the laughter of the boys. And, when Renate recently signed a letter of support for Kavanaugh and then found out about the comments made about her in the boys' yearbooks.

That laughter, folks, is misogyny.

Trump blasts NBC story, says FBI should interview 'whoever they deem appropriate' in Kavanaugh probe

Trump blasts NBC story, says FBI should interview 'whoever they deem appropriate' in Kavanaugh probe

The American public will never be able to ascertain if that happened or not -- they have stated they will hide the report and never let the people who pay them what they discovered.

Hr perjured himself often last week - so that should come into play. If he was smart he would step down

Swetnick was on the other side of a civil case in 1994, as a plaintiff, when she filed a personal injury lawsuit in Maryland against the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. She claimed she lost more than $420,000 in earnings after she hurt her nose in a fall on a train in 1992.

To support her claim for lost wages, Swetnick named “Konam Studios” as one of the companies promising to employ her. A court filing identified Nam Ko, a representative of “Kunam Studios,” as a possible plaintiff’s witness for her case.

Ko, however, told AP on Friday that he was just a friend of Swetnick’s and that he had never owned a company with a name spelled either way and had never agreed to pay her money for any work before she injured her nose. He said he first met Swetnick at a bar more than a year after her alleged accident.

Ko said he has a hazy memory of Swetnick asking to use him as a “character reference” but doesn’t recall hearing about her lawsuit.

“I thought it was for a job application,” he said.

Details of F.B.I.’s Kavanaugh Inquiry Show Its Restricted Range

WASHINGTON — President Trump said on Saturday that the F.B.I. will have “free rein” to investigate allegations of sexual misconduct against Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, but the emerging contours of the inquiry showed its limited scope.

Four witnesses will be questioned in coming days about aspects of the assault accusations against Judge Kavanaugh, according to two people familiar with the matter. Left off the list were former classmates who have contradicted Judge Kavanaugh’s congressional testimony about his drinking and partying as a student.

Snip

The White House can order investigators to further examine the allegations if their findings from the four witness interviews open new avenues of inquiry, and Mr. Trump seemed to stress that part of the plan in a tweet late on Saturday.

Snip

The four witnesses were Mr. Judge; Leland Keyser, a high school friend of Dr. Blasey’s whom she said attended the party but was not told of the assault; P.J. Smyth, another party guest; and Ms. Ramirez, the Yale accuser.

INTERESTING

curious about judge and kav

judge stuff comes back

Kav stuff has been blocked --

for which the case's existence or a person's identity is not protected information under the Maryland Rules on Access to Court Records.

Juvenile records are protected --so the criminal history on his record must be as a juvenile

his name came back with the protected clause - indicating protected criminal history.

Why do you say his records have been blocked?

I find gang rape allegations to be too out there. Multiple gang rape over multiple parties, yet the parties continued and no one was charged or arrested. Doesn't sound all that believable to me.

Here's the thing...the Supreme Court justices serve for every American, regardless of political affiliation. I truly believe it's not too much to ask that every justice be 100% above reproach. Their decisions affect all of us and will affect future generations as well. It is a big deal.

For me, it's now gone far beyond the sexual assault allegation. The way Kavanaugh conducted himself at the hearing on Thursday was horrific, IMO. I believe all Americans deserve better.
I disagree.

Supreme Court Justices are political appointees who are selected by the President. The sitting President chooses someone who they hope will make decisions that he or she finds desirable.

That means a conservative President tries to get a conservative Justice and a liberal President will try and get a liberal Justice on the Court.

One side or the other. That's why I had no choice but to vote for Trump. I didn't want Clinton to be able to appoint Supreme Court Justices. JMO.

Does this mean that people with a legal history can not have someone flop their penis on their face without their expressing a desire to have said penis placed on their face?

No, but the article discusses credibility issues with Swetnick.

All of the folks on the list were from the same conservative place that made up the list .

Kav was selected cause he was the only in his past writings that indicates he believes that presidents are above the law. The others have the same thoughts about the other issues .

The implications and passion to rush him through are more than obvious and will be needed shortly

I sure did.

Justice Kennedy was a "swing vote" who sometimes sided with the liberal Justices. If he is replaced by Kavanaugh it is unlikely he will do the same. JMO

That scares the democrats very much. That's why Chuck Schumer said this.

“The ramifications of this battle will last a generation or more. I’m going to fight this nomination with everything I’ve got,” the New York Democrat said on the steps of the Supreme Court.

Schumer: I’m going to fight the Kavanaugh nomination 'with everything I’ve got'

BBM

I believe all names come up with the protected clause. Swetnick’s does, too.

This clause...

CaseSearch will only display results for cases that exist and for which the case's existence or a person's identity is not protected information under the Maryland Rules on Access to Court Records.

If they were smart they would yank him. If he gets appointed there is another whole new disaster for the nation in several months - throwing another govt agency into chaos

We all know cases like this take time. Without fail more will slowly come out - which will end up in impeachment proceedings (perjury is disqualifying) against Kav.

As we are typing (!) the FBI is getting sworn statements by people who witnessed him falling down slurring his words etc etc. The other day repeatedly he denied drinking in that fashion. That is a lie. Lies under oath are called perjury. Perjury disqualifies one from this position.

At this point I do not think they would throw him jail for perjury just to be nice. But he should run quickly if he wants to keep his credentials. His credentialing body has already come out with concerns about these things.

If he has money and wants to do something else for a living I suppose that would ok, but he has a multitude of very serious issues ahead of him
