I worked as a news reporter of local news and as a news editor overseas for U.S government so I think I'm pretty good judge of media. Wake up! Do you have any journalism background? And yes sometimes I disagree with stories at CNN etc but Fox is so much more biased and can't be called journalism.

I don't care about anybody's drinking history as long as it isn't done on the job and doesn't affect his job. What is more important to me is Judge K's current job performance and the views of his peers and subordinates.

In Ronan Farrow's New Yorker article last Sunday a doctor in NM said he heard about the allegation about BK the night it happened at Yale or next day and he discussed incident with other former Yale classmates this past summer when BK was nominated. This person must be interviewed. It is he said, they said.

Whoever the leaker happens to be it is obvious it was done by a democrat for political gain who didn't care one whit about what Dr Ford wanted. It was cruel..mean...cold and totally uncaring of her wants and feelings. Imo it is revictimazation but they just didn't care.

I don't think it was DF but when it was given to her they certainly believed she would leak it. When it did not happened I think who she went to first leaked it No way this was going to remain confidential like DF had requested.

I don't trust her lawyers either. Unless they find the leaker it could have been someone in their office. They rarely do the dirty work themselves so they can say it wasn't them.

I have a hard time believing she wasn't aware of all options afforded to her. She is not an unintelligent woman by any means.

Everyone here and around the world knew Senator Grassley had given her many options and the option to give her statement in the comforts of her home in a confidential setting was known many days before she testified..

He had bent over backwards to accomadate DF and the ever changing demands being made by DF and her attorneys.

Has anyone found out what Jackson Lee passed to Ford's attorneys at the hearing? I don't think anyone who is not on the committee nor anyone who isnt a participant in the hearing should be allowed to even approach witnesses or attorneys no matter who is testifying. It looks unethical and very suspicious to me.

Well, did you notice how she said, if she could find out when Judge worked at the grocery store or whatever it was, she would be able to narrow down a date for the assault?

That information is in Judges writings. There is no way her lawyers didn’t know that.

So? I'm sure they most likely did. I'd bet that they told Blasey to bring it up so that it COULD be investigated by the FBI, if an FBI investigation followed. It's called due diligence, and well representing their client's interest. What is the problem with that?

I believe in the integrity of reporters like Woodward and Bernstein, many, many others. When Ronan Farrow was working on Harvey Weinstein story NBC was not "receptive" to story. He left and published in the New Yorker.
Wall Street Journal, owned by Murdoch who owns Fox, refused to print their reporter's story about Trump's (many) mafia ties. Many investigative reporters have left WSJ but they still have some good reporters who broke Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal stories.

Yes, that has been stated many, many times. If the FBI was allowed to freely investigate, I'm confident they could narrow the time window to within a week. The best guess of many is that the assault happened on July 1.

If the FBI floated July 1 when questioning possible witnesses, they would have some info to work with that could, conceivable, prompt some general memories of others in K & Judge's Georgetown Prep circle.

July 1, 1982. The day the drinking age went from 18 to 19 in MD. The only day on K's calendar that explicitly mentioned going to a friend's house to drink "skis". A FU gathering, just like the 100 keg club was a FU for having to do community service on Sundays.

No one has investigated/spoken with Timmy, at least, not for the record. Timmy? Do you remember throwing a FU party on July 1? Do you remember how long K and Judge stayed there? Did they mention going to the Country Club afterwards, or going to Judge's grandparent's house so Judge & K could really let loose? Do you remember Dr. Ford's BF Squi being there? Could he have left with K and Judge?

Perhaps Squi left, hung out at the pool, picked up Dr. Ford & took her to the party. Notice no one has spoken to Squi either, and he's not on the WH- approved list of folks the FBI is allowed to question.

Squi could have lots to say.......

There was no guarantee of confidentiality--and letter did leak. This is just a Republican talking point to divert attention away from BK perjury.

If you want to keep something confidential, you don't put it in writing. And you certainly don't send it to someone who has a staff that opens and reads all mail.

If she did not intend on eventually coming forward publicly, she wouldn't have written the letter. I don't believe anyone is naive enough to think a written allegation about any political figure sent to Washington DC wouldn't end up on the front page.

Confidentiality was an excuse that allowed them to control the timing of the disclosure.

This has nothing to do with Republicans or Democrats specifically. Both sides are corrupt and dirty and would sell their own mother if it would give them a political advantage.

The world of people who care deeply about the SC cannot be divided into 2- dems & repubs. I care deeply & I am neither. Actually, the majority of American voters don't consider themselves aligned with either party. That it has to be a Dem is a mighty big, unsubstantiated leap.

As for Grassley. He most certainly did not bend over backwards for Dr. F. He laid down impossible deadlines, then moved them almost daily for days. Seriously, if you put yourself in Dr.B's shoes, 3000 miles away, dealing with the unfamiliar on almost every level, unexpectedly & after trying to stay anonymous, taking care of 2 freaked out kids who couldn't go home, a no doubt deeply concerned dad & husband, death threats, the having to relive traumatic memories & anticipating having to tell not just strangers about them, but US Senators?!

I've seen many posts about perjury being committed by Kavanaugh but I believe it's posters opinion only based on allegations and not fact at this time.

If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will provide links that proves these allegations are fact.

I check nonpartisan, verified sources, especially when allegations like that are force fed via right wing media. Every fact checker source says: unverified overall, and many aspects of the story, flat out untrue. Facts matter.

Well sadly I have seen facts don't really matter. 80 percent of the media is left leaning and so are their fact sources.

I've stated up thread. Even registered Republicans saying he lied. So House investigators will get their sworn testimony for evidence. But if someone believes Trump is honest or credible....probably not going to listen to facts?

Where I work, we often have meetings with people in D.C., every thing is done with a camera system, no one has time or money to fly around the country for meetings.

I believe Dr. Ford was given the option of using a similar setup for her testimony. But, she chose to drive across the country. She chose to sit at a desk, in front of people, cameras, Senate committee, to testify. That was her choice, perfectly fine. But, if this situation was so personal, heart wrenching, why did she choose such a public forum? With the drama of a cross country trip, not by plane, even though there is evidence that she has taken plane trips previously.

It just seems that this was orchestrated for maximum drama. The timing, the entire situation and presentation. Choreographed down to the nth degree.
