[DNA evidence, binders of child porn, video of neighbor kids riding bikes n playing ball. Secret video. Oh and the DNA was connected to jareds case and assaults from cold springs as well.

I wonder what the specific items are that link this man to Jacob's abduction. Did anyone here know about this suspect? I wasn't able to see the live conference, did they arrest him for Jacob's abduction? Thanks

Oh my gosh! I received a tweet shortly before 2pm stating there was a news conference being held in connection to Jacob's case. I almost dropped my phone and my heart has been pounding ever since. I can't even focus here at work. I hope this finally gives the Wetterling family closure they have been looking for for 26 years. My heart goes out to them.

Were there any similarities in the abduction of Jacob and what happened to Jared? If so these may be even more important now.

Eta: just refreshing myself on past info. Threatening with a gun and telling him to run and not look back. I've always thought this was the same person. I hope I'm right.

Yes, there are many. They've been rehashed here over and over with many of the members siding on one side (connected) or the other (not connected). The most important people who weren't in LE (Patty, Jared) believe the cases are connected. The Sheriff has hinted in the past that they are not, and also has ruled out a vehicle being involved. Currently it appears he's wrong on both fronts.

Were there any similarities in the abduction of Jacob and what happened to Jared? If so these may be even more important now.

I know the area of the Wetterling family home: It's seemingly idyllic, a seemingly wonderful, safe area & community for your kids to grow up. Churches, symbols of Jesus, nuns and priests all over that area fyi. Utterly shocking as the area is so very openly & actively Christian and Christ-centered, so very many devout Christians in that area. Many, many chapels of Perpetual Adoration in that area (Perpetual Adoration chapels are chapels of varying sizes, typically somewhat small, places where 24-7, non-stop, groups of believers choose to be present at all times & praying with fervour to Jesus, to our God).
