Yesterday someone mentioned he had a brother in Waite Park...I can't find any reference to that now. Where did this brother live?

It was on wcco, the reporter said that he slammed the door on them.

The answer is YES. The boys indicated that on the way to Tom Thumb multiple cars had passed them on 91. Ive been saying that was the abductor from the beginning.

Or he could have been at Tom Thumb and saw the boys. Either way makes sense. He was local, he knew their route home, and we know now that he attacked other boys at night and carried the nylon mask with him.

It was a Sunday night and he was unemployed. Probably not a lot else to do.

<modsnip>

Its scary to think how many years this guy has been roaming freely. He is incurable and needs locked up forever.

LE had him in his sights way back then but didnt have enough evidence to charge him. They even proved his DNA was tied to another local boy some months earlier but statue of limiataions passed.

I really do think this guy is the culprit. Hope LE is able to take him off the streets.

"Luger said authorities seized items including 19 3-ring binders that contained pictures of naked boys"

Fascinating that LE found he had made videos of kids riding bikes. jmo

"FBI agent Thornton said that as part of their review of the Wetterling case, investigators used new forensic technology to analyze DNA on clothing worn by a young boy who was kidnapped and sexually assaulted in the same county about nine months before Wetterling's abduction. The DNA was a match to Heinrich, Thornton said. That and other evidence led authorities to search Heinrich's home July 28."

I wonder if this guy was slinking around and that is what Aaron heard on the way to the store. Also the Bahners, said they were in the woods, they were from Paynesville, could this guy have been with them....or they with him? Could this guy have threaten them and they made up the LK story?? Just wondering....it would be interesting to know who this guy knows...........and who besides DAH was his friend......I think birds of a feather stick together........just wondering...

Another thing is did any of these guys help out on the Rassier farm when they had milk cows?. They all seemed to be laborers. As the Rassier boys went off to college they probably had to hire some help if they had a milk cow herd.

Just speculating and IMO

I too wonder if he had a friend that also was doing similar things. There were many cases outlined by LE around that time and he could have had a friend that was in cahoots with him.

What really makes me wonder if he had a friend working with him was the video and 3 ring binders. Usually a network of like minded sick people work together to share their obsession.
I doubt he was just getting those photos by himself and I do wonder in a big city where he lived if he met someone that worked with him in the crimes.

Some days they may have worked together and other days they may have worked independently. Its all very possible IMO

I will be very curious if they unseal the search warrant from the Rassier property now.

Isn't it amazing how this guy was able to roam free for 26 years, after thousands of leads and dozens of LE and FBI agents examining the case. How can this one lowlife guy have outsmarted them for 26 years?!?!

I hope they waterboard him to get him to confess and disclose Jacob's whereabouts.

Yes it was completely open behind the front two bucket seats. There was a metal bar running across it, probably to stop things from sliding forward. You certainly could sit back there but there were no seat belts. But who really used seat belts in the 80's anyway!

I watched a review of the Bundy case and he used a Volkswagon in some of the crimes and he removed the passenger seat so the women could be kept down and hidden.

If Bundy could abduct adult women in a Volkswagon then no doubt this creep could abduct small kids in that vehicle. He may have made them get in back and stay down by using gun as threat.

I hope they waterboard him to get him to confess and disclose Jacob's whereabouts.

I think LE needs to search the wifes house where she lived at the time he was staying with the Dad.

Just learning about this case and I don't know much about it. I wonder if the wife or ex-wife had a house nearby that he visited. He may have used that house more than his dads for storing stuff or maybe just for burying bodies in basement or yard or crawlspace.

Also wonder if they owned property elsewhere or not. Recent case on TV the other day the murderers used some other property to burn and dump the victim.

If Heinrich doesn't talk, I wonder if LE will be able to figure out details about what happened to Jacob like: How long after his abduction was he killed? How was he killed? How did he choose Jacob? Was he watching him before? I am very happy that the Wetterlings might finally know who kidnapped their son, but I feel like there might still be so many unanswered questions. I am almost hoping that he talked to someone after Jacob's case (of course then there's the issue of why this person didn't say anything) so we will at least find out some info.

From the complaint document, it looks like he belonged to an online community that shared those photos. I wonder if he also contributed.

I have been reading back and a little confused why LE cannot re-charge him on the abduction charges of the 1st boy since they now have DNA confirmation.

I think the statue of limitations was just for the sexual assault so wondering why they cannot charge for abduction.

Thanks.

It kind of makes you wonder if there were multiple people all acting out about the same time. I did find posts here that talked about the one specific other person that was supposedly his friend.

He didn't outsmart them. They had a match to his shoe print and tire track from the beginning. Just not an exact match with wear pattern, etc so it wouldn't work in a court of law to convict. They have been waiting for Dna technology to evolve.
