Its hard to know who might be the biggest retards in all of this. In any case, I sure hope this tape helps the case.

Starbuck's is nearby as well, its at 261 South Weber, and Caribou Coffee is at 266 South Weber. In addition to being close to Peterson's home they are also close to the Clow Airport and to a cell tower to the west of the airport.

Haven't located this on Google yet, but Mark Furhman and Steph Watts went to all the coffee shops in Bolingbrook. They honed in on the Crispy Creme that is at the same intersection as three other coffee shops including a Starbuck's and a Caribou Coffee.

Investigators had visited the store and asked for names of employees who had worked that Sunday evening between 6 and 10 pm.

Mark said that no investigators had asked to see the surveillance tape. The owner or manager or whoever was there, showed Mark and Steph the tape from the night of October 28th.

It showed two white males walking into the store at 7:35 pm (he also said 7:36 and 7:37). They walked to a table for two along the front window and sat down. They did not order coffee or donuts. They left at 9:21 pm. During that time, one of the men DID leave, but Mark was very vague about this.

Mark said the tape was very poor quality but thinks that it could be enhanced. I believe he notified the Illinois State Police about the tape.

I am psychic. Brodsky's reply will be DrewP was nowhere near the coffee shop, Morphey is disturbed, the coffee shop owner is obviously wanting attention (whoops, have I used that one already?) and besides, Morphey said it was Starbucks!

And he will say that too!

What's with the problem with the search warrant? Please don't tell me that LE screwed up a search warrant.

Lol, someone at Greta said Drew isn't really a cop, because he didn't buy a donut.

You have more patience than I do to wade through those posts at Greta's. But,
that really is very funny!

What I find great is that Brodsky himself gave Mark the very idea to go check out the coffee shops AND look for the cams! LOL

Brodsky said there were NO tapes. Guess Mark proved that one wrong as well! I hope the FBI can clean them up and we can get positive IDs on the two men sitting there. If Drew left the phone laying on the table...it should be visible, too. Tom's story goes into the star witness category then!

Don't forget...Mark now has the names of the coffee shop employees who worked that night! What do you want to bet they remember a couple of guys sitting there not buying anything. Since Drew has been a cop for so long, they probably know him. (I bet he has bought plenty of Krispy Kremes since it went in!)

By the way, we don't know which coffee shop that Tom Morphey stated they went to. Starbucks might have come out as a misquote entirely. We have to remember we have not heard anything directly from Tom. : )

Here I sit assuming LE has done all kinds of things that apparently they haven't. :furious: How can that not be the very first thing you do when told there was a meeting place?! :furious: :furious: !!!

Hmmmm, WGN legal analyst, Terry Sullivan says more surprises to come. And I belive him! Poor guy also said Scott Peterson instead of Drew. I understand Terry. I keep saying Stacy instead of Cassandra. Wow, you listen to someone like Terry, a former prosecutor, and you really see what a low ranking attorney Brodsky is.

What bothered me about him though was when he suggested that Morphey and his pal were "coming out of the woodwork", which is false. They both spoke with the Police very early on. So, I wasn't as impressed with him as you were.
But, I am also being critical because my "Women's Murder Club" show is not on tonight. boo hoo. - i.b.

I agree with you. They should not have talking heads on before they have done extensive homework on the case. It makes the station look bad and it does make their views less important when they miss details such as that.

Fuhrman stated that the video was very poor quality and that it jumps in chunks of time. He said that there was a time when one man was alone. The only problem that I have is if it was DP & TM they spent 2hrs there without making a purchase, couldn't that be loitering? Or maybe they didn't buy anything so as to not be on any video that would be at the registers- getting a front shot, and have employees recognizing them? Either way I am stunned that ISP didn't even ask about video.

So if this is DrewP and his stepbrother on the video it means DrewP asks him to meet him at the coffee shop then doesn't even buy the out of work man a cup of coffee? Geeze what a &^$%.

I'd love to know if it shows 1 of the men passing a small object to the other (phone)

I cannot beleive that ISP hasn't been to each of those coffee shops and asked for tapes of that night....and any survalence(sp) cameras in the area that might be pointed toward the street to show Drew driving by or whatever.

This is just silly that they didn't do that..maybe they are concentrating all their efforts in finding leads to where Stacy's body is located..figuring Drew's brother is an eye witness to the coffee shop adventure..but the tapes would certainly back up Thomas' statements on what happened that night.

From an Asoc Press article at the below link
SNIP/
Peterson took a day off from the Bolingbrook Police Department on Oct. 28, the day Stacy Peterson was last seen by her relatives. He had been scheduled to work at 5 p.m. that day but called in, saying his wife was missing and he had to watch the kids, according to police.
Peterson has since resigned from the police force.

If this article is true..then Drew didn't call in sick...he was already well on the road to the Stacy disappeared story

I wondered when he called in? My daughter has to call in at least 3 hours before her start or she's not given the paid sick day. Did he call in at 5 or earlier? Where was that call made from?

At that point hadn't Stacy just "gone to Grandpa's"? How did he know she was "missing"? (rhetorical)

Another comparison to Scott and HIS use of the word "missing" when it wasn't yet appropriate.
