Peterson took a day off from the Bolingbrook Police Department on Oct. 28, the day Stacy Peterson was last seen by her relatives. He had been scheduled to work at 5 p.m. that day but called in, saying his wife was missing and he had to watch the kids, according to police.
Peterson has since resigned from the police force.

If this article is true..then Drew didn't call in sick...he was already well on the road to the Stacy disappeared story

Considering that DrewP denied for a long time that Stacy was "missing" I think the wording is esp. important. I wish the person he talked to could talk and say exactly what he said.

I wondered when he called in? My daughter has to call in at least 3 hours before her start or she's not given the paid sick day. Did he call in at 5 or earlier? Where was that call made from?

At that point hadn't Stacy just "gone to Grandpa's"? How did he know she was "missing"? (rhetorical)

Another comparison to Scott and HIS use of the word "missing" when it wasn't yet appropriate.

Jamie Colby releasing an announcement from the ISP, asking for help from the public, regarding two men (one with salt and pepper hair -and one allegedly believe to be Drew Peterson) approaching truck drivers at a truck stop and asking the truck drivers to transport a package. This was on Oct 29th, early am, I believe.

ISP is asking for more information!!

Here is one of the articles about the truckers - it doesn't make sense to me. Why would DP seek help from strangers? Why would he seek help period? Stacy was petite - seems like he wouldn't have needed help.

I think it was a matter of time. He was running out of time to dispose of the body before her disappearance became news.

Stay tuned to Fox for more breaking news! Drew Peterson was 100% identified by a new trucker who was at the I-55 truck plaza on Oct. 15th and 16th acting strangely and trying to block his Hazmat truck in the driveway. He flashed his badge and had another man with him. The driver called BBPD and the FBI to report the incident. He provided proof with his log book of where he was at the time and Fox found the log of his call to the BBPD. More to come!
