My thinking on the J. Archer info. is that it's a chain reaction from reading someones research, and then someone carrying that info. to another Forum, then it showed up on another person's TimeLine site. Now it's 'sorta, kinda' accepted as fact.

It wouldn't be hard to confirm who is was by simply asking the Savio family.

Except he would have been connected to Victoria.

from SuziQ's abc article:

The difference here is that if others ran friend's names but did not use the info to harass, stalk, or blackmail etc. they have broken police policy, but have comitted no crime. This would call for a reprimand or similar internal dicipline depending upon what they did with the info. It is not a crime to just be nosey.
The criminal charges come in to play if Drew or anyone else used that info to follow Stacey or anyone she knew or if he used the info in the planning of her disappearance/murder or another crime. Drew has apparently comitted what is called official oppression which is a crime.

I believe Drew did plan her murder and plan to cover it up, but I don't think he had a definite time he was going to kill her. Something happened that morning to set him off and he thought he was prepared enough to go ahead and do it even though the kids were home.

In the LE world it is considered a serious violation. It is an invasion of the person's privacy, and it ties up the system and could interfere with an official request for information due to overuse of the system. I don't know whether it is considered a crime in itself or not, but it can definately lead to firing.

But consider this- the phone call that was made from Stacy's phone to Drew P's phone, was made from the area that Scott Rosotto lived in. Since TM claims that he had one phone and Drew P had the other phone, and the phone he had showed a caller id saying Stacy- how did Drew P know Rosotto's address in order to make the call from that area?

I haven't noticed anything in pictures or video, but does DrewP wear a wedding ring? Did he wear 1 before Stacy went missing?

VB
Wouldn't that put a crimp in his lifestyle as a cheating husband?! :loser:

This is why we try to make sure our facts are facts around here before we go off halfcocked. (Or try to!)

And yet Brodsky goes on to say this, which BTW, I agree with him. God, that was hard for me to type. So others did this, but nooooooo, not Drew!

"It was common practice for members of the Bolingbrook Police Department and employees to run warrant checks and name checks for friends, for family members, and even to run prank names, rather risque prank names, when they would get bored in the evening," Brodsky said. "And so if they were to prosecute Drew for doing anything like that, they would have to prosecute probably most of the employees and officers of the Bolingbrook Police Department for the same thing."

Brodsky better pray that he doesn't need a cop, because after slamming the BBPD like that, I'm sure they would not be rushing to help him out.

LOL, you've been doing the same thing I have, going through videos and in my case going blind.

In this one he's bringing in groceries through the garage entrance into the house (seems to be his usually means of entry).

Note: it will first say the video is not available, but hang on, it's there :)

On Monday, McGury said the alleged misconduct didn't involve improper computer background searches. McGury has said he planned to forward information to prosecutors for possible criminal charges.

http://www.suntimes.com/news/peterson/679601,CST-NWS-boling04a.article

The state periodically audits Law Enforcement Agencies Data System computer usage, Teppel said, and does not tolerate misuse. In fact, a dispatcher was fired in March 2006 for providing sensitive LEADS information to automobile repossessors.

If the audits turned up misuse of computers, the state could pull its service and threaten the department's existence, Teppel said.

"If you don't have access to the LEADS system," he said, "you can't be a police department."

On top of that, Teppel said Brodsky is way off base as to what police Chief Ray McGury presented to Glasgow.

"That would be part of the criminal investigation by the state police," Teppel said of the supposed allegations that Peterson misused department computers. "The state would turn that over to us."

If Christmas was going to be special because of Stacy, maybe DP shouldn't have killed her. I imagine McGury wants to get him because he knows he's dirty, but DP sure is slippery. McGury right now :banghead:

So Drew and his attorney are barking up the wrong tree about misuse of the computer system FOR BACKGROUND SEARCHES.

Does anyone know for certain what these criminal charges involve?

  • #259
From my understanding they are a class 3 Felony punishable up to 2-5 years in prison.

Hmm..so what class 3 felony punishable for 3 to 5 years are we discussing?
I can't help but wonder as Drew was such a womanizer if someone hasn't come for with sexual harishment charges or something similiar?
