Drews plane is a kite with a lawnmower engine. The weather has to be asbolutely perfect to take it up. IMO, the plane doesn't have as much to do with this case as much as where the plane was kept.

Your thoughts about the "airplane" are correct. It's an ULTRALIGHT.....not really a plane. It can carry two, in tandem, but could not carry a pilot and a heavy load.
