I received the following alert today of the post, glad I didn't delete it! :) Now supposedly his webmaster has been arrested, and the LE on the way to also arrest him, whatever:rolleyes:

Here is what it said, however when you click on the link it only takes you to his Blog site, not the post.

Thank you TG !

I went over to his site after SuziQ's post and couldn't find that entry. Why have they deleted it? I know at his site user's have to give an email to post..which is why I haven't..but I am sure Ric would have turned any info over to them and that they could access it it any way if they wanted to. I guess if anyone poses as Stacy the ISP want ot clear it to be sure it is not infact her and prosecute anyone trying to pose as her during the investigation. Hope JAB, Drew and their private investigators are behind this..that would be one more count against them.

I guess a commenter at Greta traced the IP and it was from Wheaton, Ill. and they are theorizing that Drew and Brodsky are behind the whole thing. Thanks for hanging on to that info TG!

LOL, doubt I'll get anymore, heck for all we know his Blog site may go down.

He replied when Greta asked him who approves the Blogs from posters he said he did, really don't think that was smart of him. He should have saved it to turn over to the LE, not let it get circulated all over the net. But from reading his Blog replies he's not the brightest

As far as we know that equity loan was only for 200-250k I read somewhere that his home is worth in the neigborhood of 400-450 k..if that is the case once they give Kathleens's family her share ..Drew will be making payments to the bank and his son to keep his home. It is Kathleen's family with the wrongful death suit and if they win and can bring judgement against Drew the home is their's..if they pay off the equity loan..which the sale of the home would easliy do.

Delta, My recollection was that the home was worth around $250,000. But, I think that we're getting way ahead of ourselves as this is going to get pretty convoluted. We can't leave Stacy's interests out here as the home is half hers. What I was trying to point out is that Drew took what appeared to be all the equity of the house and gave it away apparently for his benefit and my point was that half of that was Stacy's.

If the Savio family wins a judgment against Drew, can they take Stacy's assets also? I don't know. But I just think it's way too speculative right now with things this early in both cases. I think Wudge had very good points in that these kinds of cases are usually brought after what would amount to a criminal trial (paraphrasing here), and just trying to sort all of this out in a concise and understandable way seems overwhelming.

My goodness, what Drew has brought upon himself.....

I agree, talking about property distribution is putting ourselves way ahead of the game..I guess I am just hoping this hearing goes through and Drew is found guilty. That in itself would be enough to be a pleasure to one and all. Second I bet that Kathleen's family is only concerned the circumstances surrounding her death are legally charged in a court, that Drew was guilty of wrongful death, not about the money. My bad..I'm sorry I went there because I don't think her family is after money..just the verdict and info. Hopefully they will have that, not only in civil court, but also criminal court as well.

:) :blowkiss: :bang:  ;)
You are on top of it girl/guy (it's hard to tell which at WS)

Seriously, Drew's chances of being able to cop the 5th would amount to him being a witness and being given immunity from prosecution. With JB as an attorney, do we really think that is going to happen? It rarely does with the best of attorneys. It's just not going to happen. Drew is an average Joe like us. lolololol.

ETA: A reminder, Drew will be a defendant, not a witness.

You know there is something fishy about that Ric Mimms drama. I don't think you can be legally arrested for comments that others leave on your site. Maybe they could arrest if you advise them of the comment and they request that you not allow the comment to go public and you do. But if that comment just went up today, then it is too soon for them to have an arrest. Something like that would usually take a day or two. You could probably be arrested if you leave the comment yourself and put it in the name of a person who is the target of the investigation. Again too soon for an arrest. LE would first have to track the orign of the comment, determine it wasn't Stacy and then do the paperwork for the arrest. But there is something more there than "someone calling themselves Stacy" leaving a comment and Ric and his admin. being arrested.

If that site adm. was arrested, then most likely there is something else going on. Hindering a murder investigation, that is a term that is usually used for persons who knowingly lie to investigators or hide evidence.

When he talked with Greta's person he said site admin. But I am thinking it is probably like a webmaster person. Someone who set up the site and does the technical things, and Ric does the writing.

Drew's attorney would almost assuredly advise him not to answer any question that might tend, in any way, to incriminate him.

Actually Wudge in a civil deposition about all the attorney could do would be ask for the question to be rephrased, or if the question has been answered then the attorney would say my client has already answered that. But in a civil suit , especially the depostion, attorneys really have little say on rather their client answers or how they do answer.. They don't jump up and down objecting, or any histronics..the deposition is usually very straight forward. But I do realize we are talking Drew and JAB here..but still there will be some modicum of normal court proceedure kept.

Mysteriew, there something is very off with the Ric Mims drama. Obviously we don't have the whole story. And since when does LE notify someone in advance that they are going to make an arrest? Very strange.

  • #455
I played the first one several times I noted one thing. The officer allegedly told Ric that they could find out what computer the comment was posted from. If they didn't know that info, if they didn't have proof of that info, they didn't have enough info to arrest the site manager- if the arrest was for what Ric said it was.

One thing that crossed my mind. Is there any possibility that this was something from the private investigator? If the PI was posing as a police officer, then he could be charged with impersonation.

I just listened to Ric talking to Elizabeth on Gretawire. Very strange!! I have never heard of such a thing either. This will be interesting to follow up on.

At the moment:
"Richardmims.com is down. It will be back at somepoint. 6 days ago Mr Mims commissioned me to create a website for him. Today I was interogated at work about things I know nothing about. I will have no further comment. Mr Mims will be taking over the domain and the content effective tomorrow.

Cheers"

Wow. I just don't know what to think!

So the admin was interrogated, not arrested. I can see him being brought in to discuss how the site works, the info on the site and so forth. Esp. since at least one of the members has a connection to the principals in the case. So how did that get blown up into an arrest? But what is the comment that he was brought in and asked questions about things he didn't know anything about? That is weird and fishy.

I did some checking on Rainbow8. If you google rainbow8, that nic is used on a lot of sites including utube and flickr. The persons with that nic seem to be from different countries and different ages so they do seem to be different people. I haven't found one from Wheaten Ill though.
