Suspect Drew Peterson #5

Interesting, Stephen running license plates etc on village personnel. This family seems to really believe, even in the midst of all this investigation, that they are above the law that the swore to uphold.

On another note this morning I was watching TV nad they had a special little section for Stacy..I believe it was NBC.

Regrettably, like father......like son.

8 days until the 1 year anniversary of Stacy's disappearance (and my 2nd wedding anniversary). I'm so frustrated that this case seems to have gone really cold and that justice will never happen for Stacy.

I'm starting a count-down to the day I predict an arrest. 29 days. I figure the amendatory veto of the Hearsay Bill (now signed by the Gov and waiting for a new vote in the Legislature) to be approved by house and senate by the mid of the veto session, or the 14th. Give LE the weekend, plus a day (Monday) to tie up loose ends, and the arrest on November 18 (Tuesday).

I still believe that it is the hearsay bill that LE is waiting for because it strengthens their ability to prosecute.

If the above doesn't happen, I'm going to sleep on this case.

Oh DrewP is still walking as much of a tightrope now as he was the day after Stacey disappeared. He is on the hook on the gun charge. LE will be watching that closely but he won't have to take the stand. There is still the probate action on Kathleen's estate, and a possible wrongful death charge on that. And he will have to take the stand on that. LE will most likely be sitting in on that. There is always the possiblity of a wrongful death charge on Stacey too. There is less of a burden of proof in a civil case than a criminal case.

The book is now out, and I feel positive that LE will be reviewing that and comparing the timeline to the known evidence. His son is in trouble with his department and may even end up losing his job over this. Which means if the son didn't have anything to do with it, he could turn on him any time. And if the children know anything at all that they haven't told, then he will have to cater to them because if they talk at all, to anyone, it could be bad for him. The GJ is still reviewing the case, and could return an indictment at any time. And whether the hearsay bill gets signed tomorrow or next month or next year, well there is no statue of limitations on murder.

The biggest problem is not that he will get away with it, I don't think he will. The biggest problem is how much havoc he can cause in people's lives before they do arrest him.

Works for me. I just want to see him walk the walk. I want him to go down in a big dog way. Yeah, I admit, I have already tried him and convicted him in my mind. I want those children to be away from him ASAP. I can only imagine how he's ruined their mother's (both Kathleen and Stacy) memories already. It just makes me cringe. I'd love to smack him till he's ugly, but I see somebody already beat me to it!

I'm holding to my countdown, now at 27 days. The latest comments from the State's Attorney in the link below reference the Hearsay Bill. I believe he is saying, without saying, that this is what they are waiting for!!

closeobserver.............I agree! The Illinois State Attorney seems very positive in a resolution, and as you mentioned, seems to be waiting for the Hearsay Bill. I'm looking forward to the day DP is indicted!
