SUSPECT IN CUSTODY MN - 2 Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses were shot by someone impersonating a police officer, JUNE 13,2025

Gosh that is scary that he left the hat and also the car out there between Belle Plaine and Green Isle.
I’m hoping he does not have someone who met him out there- one of his adult children?
We have not heard if these two kids-daughters have been located

IMO
I was thinking the same thing, that one of his adult children may have met him somewhere. In the latest local CARE tv station update, they mentioned that although the wife wasn't detained during the police stop in Onamia yesterday morning, other passenger(s) were detained. I was thinking that could have been one or more of his children? (see link below starting around 6:20 mark)

Looking at the timeline in the link above. I think LE might have caught him on camera somewhere late afternoon Saturday, back in the Green Isle area. Because they also went back there later in the afternoon.

I don’t understand why he would do that, seems pretty counter intuitive if you’re the object of a manhunt. But he must have a reason.

Yes and he could have purchased two hats and left one with someone else to drop as he went another way.

I can’t quite tell if this guy is a dull pencil, sharp pencil, or not even in the box- as we say.

maybe this is a dumb question but what could they arrest his wife for at this point? i’m guessing it would be for helping him flee or even prepare everything, but could they already have gathered enough evidence for this at this point when they haven’t caught the perpetrator?

One of the reports says she has three people, a large amount of cash, weapons, and passports

That looks like escape plan- aiding and abedding would be a start and could she have transported him from location to location after he left his car?? She could be involved more than we know now

Being as he has that whole separate address from his wife, and a list of targets. She might have been fleeing for her own personal safety . He still lived in the family home part time but he also kept his space. Admittedly I am not really following all the details in this case. Fwiw.
Anyway ..I guess we await her case number to verify her arrest.

SIBLEY COUNTY, Minn. — The possible belongings of Vance Boelter, the suspect in the fatal shooting of MN Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, appear to have been located by law enforcement.

What appears to be Boelter's cowboy hat and a vehicle of interest were found along the roadside in Sibley County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

So this would be the point he is now thought to be in the Buick mentioned yesterday? How does this fit in the timeline?
@ 7:12 today's news and updated
reporter says the wife was arrested.

Officers going door to door in Sibley County now, in search for VB who they believe may still be in the area.

Just a feeling that suicide by cop may be his end game.

Aiding and abetting, harboring a fugitive, maybe?
I'm sure they have plenty of evidence if she's been arrested.
IMO.

No such thing as a dumb question. I’m glad you asked it.

They'd need evidence that she knowingly helped him, and that could come from a variety of sources. Hell, she could have told them herself.

It's also possible that a download of her phone showed evidence of that. Other possibilities too.

Things are not always as they seem.

Speculation: after breaking into his own vehicle at 6am in Minneapolis, he drives toward Green Isle. Engages with his wife/family in some way. Like: I've done something bad, take all this money and go. Just go."

Except for the LE ruse, there is nothing clever about this mam. And that ruse wasn't clever either. Supremely cowardly, killing and maiming people in their own homes, gaining entry by dressing like a LEO. No gamemanship there, just a grossly unfair draw. Outgunned.

Everything about this is chaotic and disorganized. Idiot probably has a sub basement, storm cellar/bunker. Hope they've checked every inch.

So LE set up the command center on the person's property (person being interviewed), with his permission, and he had to leave. Says that a neighbor claimed to have heard shots late last night but he doesn't know what that was about. Says there is an abandoned house out there nearby, so I assume that will be checked out. Says that LE asked him a lot of questions about the terrain, etc.

One of the neighbor near the command center says that he heard shots late last night. Is it possible that VB shot himself? Somehow I doubt it, but it's always a possibility in a situation like this.
