SUSPECT IN CUSTODY MN - 2 Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses were shot by someone impersonating a police officer, JUNE 13,2025

I live in a similar rural community (just a bit smaller than Green Isle) and normally hearing gun shots wouldn't make me think twice. Now? Absolutely!! Did he leave his hat and car to lead LE to his location? Maybe in those woods? Did he commit suicide? Just speculation but serms an odd turn of events.

Did I just miss this being posted upthread?

‘Now, multiple law enforcement sources have told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS a traffic stop at a convenience store located near Onamia late Saturday morning involved a vehicle which was carrying Boelter’s wife, as well as three other relatives.’

there was some talk about it, i wondered if the three relatives were their children and others assumed so too because three of their children are still living at home
(as far as i know there haven’t been any more detailed reports about the relatives so it’s still speculation!)

According to this article Boelters wife called one of his roommates Saturday night and is “in shock” — if she was calling the roommate Saturday night, was she arrested and then released on bail? Or just detained?
Actually LE might have requested she call them.
I know LE has asked me to place a phone call to a suspect before , i refused. To much trauma .

There were only 2 police officers when the firing started, and they were trying to fire back and take cover, and also they were trying to protect and give aid to one of the shooting victims who was at the front door, etc. And during this melee, the shooter ran back in the house and out the back door. This is how an FBI agent in the Twin Cities described how the shooter got away. Given the scenario, the agent wasn't at all surprised that he got away.
This makes total sense.

They own a home in Green Isle. But I’m trying to place this in the timeline. He went to his home in GI after being seen on camera at 6AM at the rental in MN?

Ditched the hat, clothing and car, then someone brought him the Buick mentioned yesterday?
It's about a 1hr 15m drive from the rental to Sibley County, so he probably got home around 7.15am to 7.30am. Judging by the time his wife was picked up at Onamia, she would have left home around 8am. It looks like he's told her to head north to Canada whilst he heads west towards South Dakota.

He might actually go into sleep deprivation-induced psychosis, eventually, and slip up if he truly didn't get far away like the authorities are saying. I've been awake long enough for it to happen to me and its serious business.
Oh yes exactly!

In the live feed they said they checked bookings and there was nothing yet on her. They said more info about all of this would probably be coming out in the next official news briefing.

I would imagine this is a fluid situation now and that won’t be for a while.

I just checked again, too. Hennepin and Sibley counties. Nothing. She's probably being questioned, but not in custody. If she refuses to talk, they might have to release her, unless they have enough evidence to arrest her for helping him escape. I'm not sure they would let her return to the farm as they probably have it staked out. JMO

But wasn't she found with a large sum of cash and passports on her? And my own opinion that doesn't sound like an intervention..

More than likely he had to break into his other car because he left the keys in the car at the house he had the shoot out with LE

maybe this is a dumb question but what could they arrest his wife for at this point? i’m guessing it would be for helping him flee or even prepare everything, but could they already have gathered enough evidence for this at this point when they haven’t caught the perpetrator?
Aiding an offender would seem to be the relevant crime in Minnesota.

Yeah, you're probably right. I'm still catching up on all the coverage and didn't hear about that, yet.

Hmm, that would be a good tactic to draw VB out, let him think his wife is out. LE would think he may have contacted a roommate, or his wife, or family.
LE could also listen to see if the convo revealed anything not already know about whereabouts.
I’m not sure what we can make of that at this point, several things could be possible.

IMO

Posting this live again. Just said an ambulance was going down that way, no lights on…

Gunshots heard last night and now an ambulance on the scene. That's pointing in an obvious direction, but we'll have to wait and see.

Praying no innocent person was injured or worse.

Except.... I'd expect a coroner's van.

It's probable IMO that an ambulance on standby is part of command center protocol.
