Has anyone heard anything credible about how this Vance guy supported himself and all of his interests, prior to this happening?
I'd suspect his wife had money or a lucrative career, but I don't want to step over the line sleuthing her, since she's not been charged with anything, as far as I know.Has anyone heard anything credible about how this Vance guy supported himself and all of his interests, prior to this happening?
You don’t believe his Linked-In page?Has anyone heard anything credible about how this Vance guy supported himself and all of his interests, prior to this happening?
It’s also possible we may not find out. Things have changed in how certain types of criminal behavior is investigated and treated in the U.S.I absolutely agree about the domestic terrorism aspect and it not being taken seriously enough.
I was also wondering about the funding for his ventures; do either he or his wife have family wealth perhaps? All the money came from somewhere and I doubt even a high level or regional manager for a convenience store is in that range.
I suspect we will find out there is a lot more that ole Vance was up to.
MOO
No fellow employees, co-workers or superiors have come forward to corroborate his claims, have they? Has anyone come forward to say they worked with him or were employed by him? Usually, the media would have reported something like that by now.You don’t believe his Linked-In page?
My tongue in cheek comment means I don’t believe his employment history. No fellow employees, co-workers or superiors have come forward to corroborate his claims, have they? Is there a sense that he was well off?Has anyone heard anything credible about how this Vance guy supported himself and all of his interests, prior to this happening?

Vance Boelter tells judge he is 'looking forward to the facts about the 14th coming out,' will remain in federal custody

....
Boelter, this time donning a yellow jail uniform, complained about conditions again at Thursday’s hearing and asked if the lights in his jail cell could be turned off sometimes.
But Acting U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson told reporters that neither his office or Judge Doug Micko has any power over the jail.
Boelter told Judge Micko that he is looking forward to court and to “the facts coming out.”
“I think Minnesotans want to know what’s going on,” Boelter said.
Thompson said a grand jury indictment must come within 30 days of Boelter’s arrest. Once that occurs, Boelter will enter a plea.
Boelter refused to answer a question about his motive, but rambled about some two-year-long undercover investigation, which he did not explain.
Federal prosecutors said the government has serious concerns about Boelter and that they have been in communication with Sherburne County.
I agree about the entitlement: assassins always see themselves as heroes. The 911 guys believed they were heroes, Timothy McVeigh wrote a letter explaining how he was a hero, the guy who shot the CEO believes he is a hero. What an amazing sense of entitlement. This guy thinks he's a hero for killing and maiming these innocent people. He probably does have other members of his cult who are telling him he's a hero.
Just another delusional whackjob, no one would follow him. He’s a fake, who tried to build an online presence - inflating his career history and creating fake companies.I agree about the entitlement: assassins always see themselves as heroes. ,Also, the whole allure and gratifaction of conspiracy theories is, IMO, "I know the truth about what's really going on. I'm not a sucker like everyone else"
I don't see signs he was part of cult - it may just have been his own personal paranoia.
This has become so common among lone shooters, I'm hoping at some point it stops inspiring shock and awe. Because that's exactly what feeds them. If they could understand no one will care who they are or what they believe, and just see them as another nutjob with a gun, would that perhaps take away their motivation? They want to feel special and superior. They're not.

And sadly, we see them on both sides of the political spectrum, the extreme left and the extreme right. Cult-like social movements and ideologies.![]()
