SUSPECT IN CUSTODY TN - 4 people found deceased, related to an infant abandoned in car seat in someone's yard (Dyer County, TN) 29 July 2025

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Deputies have identified three people, possibly involved in abandoning a baby after the infant was dropped off in a car seat at a Dyer County home on Tuesday.

Dyer County deputies said that they have identified the child and want to speak with Cortney Rose, Matthew Wilson, and Adrianna Williams.

At 3:11 p.m., the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office received a call about an incident on Old Highway 20 near the Tigrett Area.

Deputies said that a dark colored minivan or a white mid-sized SUV was reported to have dropped off a baby in a car seat at a random person’s front yard.

UPDATE: Dyer County investigators say four people have been found dead at a crime scene in Lake County. The identities of the deceased are currently being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The Sheriff’s Office say they remain dedicated to resolving both the abandoned infant case and the ongoing investigation at the crime scene in Lake County. Both the TBI and FBI have been called in to investigate.

Lots of questions here. Was the baby related to the deceased? Are the four people related? Were they murdered?

The baby has been identified and is safe, so I'm not sure that there's any reason to continue spreading her photo online - but maybe I'm overly sensitive about that kind of thing.

"In an update shared on Facebook later that day, the sheriff's office stated that four individuals had been discovered dead in Lake County, which is approximately 25 miles north of Dyer County."

I haven't seen any details about the specific location in MSM or LE statements.

Lake County, Tennessee, where the 4 deceased individuals were found, has multiple protected wildlife areas, a state park, and a state prison. No official word on where in the county the deceased were found, but that opens up quite a few possibilities (in addition to private residences).

Adrianna Williams and Matthew Wilson were the baby's parents I believe. Lots of photos and video on her FB page and his. She's a beautiful baby and I am so glad she is safe. Her parents seem to have been absolutely enamored of her and now she will need to live without both of them. Very sad.

Sounds as if an entire family was wiped out, possibly they all lived in the same household. So very sad for this baby girl. So many losses so early. She'll not get to have all those memories with them, stolen. A lifetime with those who so clearly adored her.

Hopefully the perpetrators left a fingerprint on the cart seat. IMO those things are a pin in the a to install and uninstall (maybe bc I only have one kid and my husband usually does the Installations.

That poor poor baby. At least they knew about the dangers of leaving a baby in a hot car.

I haven't seen anything to rule it out, but I also haven't seen anything that makes it likely. I'm sure autopsies will be forthcoming. It's really early in the investigation.
