SUSPECT IN CUSTODY TN - 4 people found deceased, related to an infant abandoned in car seat in someone's yard (Dyer County, TN) 29 July 2025

A man who was working nearby says he saw a suspicious man walking in the woods and called police.

Before his phone call was even over, police were in the area taking Drummond into custody.

Maybe this time no food deliveries or game consoles ?
End of the 'cushy' life.
Only my opinion.
I know I certainly intend to write a letter to my Governor and to the Commissioner for the DOC to ask them to look into why any of the inmates had a bottle of liquor and are getting drug deliveries via drone in prison down there. That's totally unacceptable.

Another quadruple murderer... 🤬 I have no words. What is this world coming to? When will the carnage on our own humanity, and our own families end? smh

So glad they finally got him.

Excellent excellent excellent suspect is in custody but just because we’ve got him off the street we still have a long way to go with this case

That does not appear to be a week's worth of beard stubble. He hasn't been in the woods the whole time.

Two people were charged with accessory after the fact, apparently after aiding and abetting Drummond. I assume they are former prison buddies.

His prior conviction included threats to the victim and retaliation after the criminal assault. He clearly didn't want to go to prison, but of course is now more used to living in prison than on the outside.

His criminal past:

I'm sure most of you have read about his cushy life in prison last time. Boggles the mind. Also, according to his disciplinary record in the prison, one of his confiscated possessions was a deadly weapon. He did have FB access. A photo (captured by news sources before the FB apparently disappeared) shows him with a bottle of Ciroc Vodka.

Not sure if this has been posted, but local Fox Memphis got an exclusive interview with the former boyfriend/baby daddy of the prison worker who had the affair with him in prison (and apparently brought him the contraband):

That last article somehow speaks to motive. That woman has apparently been arrested:

According to an obituary for Rose's mother, Drummond was the "husband" of Rose's sister, Kaitlyn.

Still very hard to see how any of this gives a clear idea of motive.

IMO.

It's very much a soap opera.
I'm still struggling to place people.
All My Children was so much easier to follow for years.

If the perp had gang ties within and without the prison he was incarcerated at before, it's surprising they didn't help him flee.
Maybe AD wasn't as high profile to them as he thought, but was much lower on the pecking order ?
So they hung him out to dry and only his best buddies from way back assisted/harbored him.
Of course, I'm not feeling sorry for the perp.
Hope he enjoys his new life and whatever that has to offer.

Kudos to the man who called it in !!!!
Hope he is rewarded fully and stays safe as well.
Omo.

Hopefully his future will be spent on Tennessee's Death Row. He should pay attention since Tennessee is executing a man today.

Curious to know the evidence that tied him to the murders.

That has been sort of skipped over a bit. Something obviously led LE to go right after him.

His girlfriend/ex-girlfriend (conflicting stories on that) was not arrested. Her name is Kaitlyn Speed, and has been very silent since the murders. She is the sister of Cortney.
Dearrah Sanders is the woman who was arrested.
IMO.

It takes a special kind of person to murder people they know like this. Would gangs ask something like this of a member? Was he trying to atone for something? He needs to be locked somewhere far away for a very, very long time.

Cortney's sister Kaitlyn has not been arrested, as far as I can tell. The woman that article says was arrested, Dearrah Sanders, is a different person and doesn't seem to be related to the deceased. (I'm still not sure how Dearrah fits into all of this.)

Gang Signs?
Exactly, these former ‘gang’ signs are now used by preteens and teens all over the place.
It has become as a popular as saying ‘cheese’ to smile for the camera.
They are clueless those signs once had meaning, or may still have meaning, for gangs.

IMO
It's a peace sign. Made famous by that most infamous of gangsters - Winston Churchill, who helped the UK stand strong against the Nazis.

But it's a lot older than that - the earliest evidence of it in a photography pose is in 1916 by a pioneer American female aviator.

authorities and the prison knew all the way back in March of 2024 and possibly earlier that contraband was being smuggled into the prison by drone by VL gang members. So if the motive for these murders has anything to do with continued smuggling into that prison in that same manner, why on earth would that still be going on? Shouldn't it have been ended last year, when they busted these individuals?

Men attempt to deliver drugs to prison with drone, said police

Trying to understand why the bodies and vehicles were located in a densely wooded wildlife area very near to that same prison where the accused killer was formerly incarcerated and how that might play into motive.

ETA not suggesting these two unnamed persons were the only ones smuggling via that method to that prison and their bust should have stopped that activity, I am suggesting the prison, now being on notice, should have put in place some sort of counter measures to prevent the continued use of this method.

Corruption abounds in jails and prisons, and it is not confined just to the jailers and guards. Seems to just be a way of life thru incarceration's now. Case in point, who knew of his well stocked larder and communication devices?
