I think they may have mispoke and then media just repeated it. The obit lists Kaitlyn as Cortney's sister. That would make her Adrianna and Braydon's aunt, and the baby's great aunt

So Kaitlyn is the aunt / great aunt, who formerly worked at the prison, allegedly was fired for having a relationship with AD? Allegedly has a child and is possibly pregnant to AD?

LE might have misspoken about the relationships of the various individuals. I still don't fully understand it all, very complicated it seems.
Gives me a headache, and I don't get those too often.

people say he looks done but I think he looks remarkably well and healthy, possibly slightly tired. Considering the factors involved. Clearly he was being looked after for a while. JMO
I want everyone who helped him after the murders to be caught and fully prosecuted.
I would also like to see the gang dismantled, both in and outside the prison, but that might be asking too much.

18 minute video

Good synthesis

I just listened to the press conference.

So he wasn't armed when he was arrested.

How strange.... he carries a rifle around at nighttime but just wanders around during the day unarmed.

Obviously the fact he was unarmed is very lucky for the arresting officers.

So the calls that came in alerting authorities to his whereabouts said that he was carrying a rifle. But the police confirmed in the presser that he was not armed at the time of arrest. I wonder when and why he put the gun down.

Also why would someone who was on the run go to a large building like the church he did which would have had multiple visible cameras - this to me seems like a massive slip up on his part but what was he doing there, what did he want from there.

I haven't seen anything to rule it out, but I also haven't seen anything that makes it likely. I'm sure autopsies will be forthcoming. It's really early in the investigation.
When a murder suicide happens, the weapon is found next to a body! The killer's DNA will be on the car seat. Hopefully, someone has a camera showing the people who dropped off the baby.

I read that they found him in an abandoned pool house, and that there were weapons present, but he was not presently armed. I took that to mean, he wasn't holding one when they found him but they could have been laying nearby, or in a closet, etc..

Oh I read that he was arrested in a wooded area. I assumed they found his pool house hideout close by after the arrest.

Dead man walking?

He looks like he knows he effed up.
Yeah, it wasn’t fear or anger. I guess if we knew what his motive was, I could put a name on it.

I am very interested to hear how he lured all of them out to that area in the middle of nowhere where they were found.

Ita.
Pretty difficult to take the lives of four people, chances are that at least one of them would try to flee ?
The victims would have been in a blind panic & fear.
Imo.

Doesn’t it seem like LE worked with someone to lure him to that church?
And then didn’t go get him?

I too can’t reconcile why he would be walking around from door to door and camera to camera.
Someone would have to sit down and look at the tape to notice- that would take time. They likely are not a live camera feed.
But a church may have also have a ring that alerted a pastor, just not this church.
He had been in prison for ten years- maybe he isn’t up on Ring technology?

IMO

Some observations:
- he didn’t leave the area/state & I think he could have with VL help
- he walked around quite a bit at night, looking into ring cameras, at a public church with quite good lighting (I think he went there twice) - he wasn’t acting furtive, you could almost think he wanted to be seen
- he seemed to hide during the day
- he was unarmed when arrested
- he likely left the baby & I believe drew attention to this (I can’t remember the source)

Not saying he did or didn’t commit the murders but my question is, who was he hiding from? LE or the VL? Who was he most scared of capturing him?

If there is local corruption, does he have more ‘protection’ with the Marshalls than TBI / state (I’m not from the US but I think Marshalls are Federal?)

If he was more scared of being found by the VL, could that shed light on his role or motive in the murders?

Also it would have been so unexpected and sudden, depends how he went about it and where everyone was situated - if the cars drove up at different times, even just seconds or minutes apart, if he'd killed two adults first and then the second car came a while later and he killed those two before they had a chance to even realise something was going down.

Will we ever get to know what has happened? Maybe the victims phones will tell a story?

Why did they all drive out to this area? What was the purpose or did he intentionally lure them with the idea of a planned execution? Or did they get into arguments and disputes? Why did he spare the baby if he was so murderous and hate filled? Was the sister / aunt of victims (his girlfriend) also present at the time? Is the perpetrator known to have a psychotic psychiatric disorder such as schizophrenia or what can be the possible explanation? It's so heartbreaking and also crazy senseless slaughter until will know more.

Is there DP in this state?

A horrible idea...

Is it possible he was kidnapping the baby for nefarious reasons to sell / traffic the child and the drop off place was also an intended pick up location ?

If they knew he was in his pool house lair they probably snuck up on him and grabbed him whilst he was about to go and toilet or somesuch. It must have taken a lot of creeping up on that pool house quietly to not alert him as it looks like such a quiet remote area.

I'd be scared to live in a house like that but on the aerial view, all the houses look similar - large residences with pools and grounds. Is that normal? Don't people worry about being so isolated and home invasion etc? Maybe I've lived in a high density city too long but that would freak me out.
