seems all along to me that Misty is at her most vulnerable when she is with Ron, she looks to him for her answers, like should i say this or that, or can you answer for me?

He didn't know any other way to keep her quiet other than tucking her in right under his armpit, i.e., (marriage). It was what she wanted obviously since she had already pulled the "I'm pregnant" trick and he needed to do what he had to do to keep her from running down the street blabbing what had happened.

I agree with you all on this, but, Ron was in an extra sticky situation. Not only was he sleeping with a teenager, but his daughter was missing, & this teenager was supposedly babysitting @ the time. Now, a normal response would've been to kick her to the curb, & deny, deny, deny. But...Ronald, married her? Go figure. So, we're left to wonder why he didn't kick her to the curb. Was he so crazy about her that he was unwilling to let her go? or did he need to keep her close-in order to control her?

Dodie.....the part I bolded is IMO exactly why he didn't kick her to the curb. I've always felt this is what Ron meant by "keeping his enemies close." At this point, the wrong move on his part could make him her enemy. If she has any direct knowledge re: HaLeigh's disappearance (I happen to believe she does) Misty is the last person Ron needs as an enemy. Yep.....much better he keep her close, and TN @ least suspects, if not knows, as much.

'Cause Lord knows she put enough of his business on the street when she trashed him to NayNay and her friends the weekend they were drinking and drugging after Ron ditched her. JMO

I believe he stated on NG on 03-16-09 he was 99% sure..If you have a chance go back and watch that one. Pay special attention to the expression on his face and the look in his eyes......Thats the same interview where NG asked him how everything had gotten so bass ackwards.

Also, TN has to claim Misty was at home IF TN knows she was with some of the Cummings Clan that night, especially since Tommy has come out and said he dropped by the MH that night.....and no one was there...JMO

With RC, it is a matter of following the money. He loves money, money and guns. They both bring him power. He will do anything for them.....because they bring him all he needs and desires.

If he was getting a cut of misty's actions, he'd be all for it as long as she brought him money, I don't think he would care.

On a different path, what ever happened to RC's friendship with OT? I wonder what the connection was between the two of them and how well did misty know OT? It is a most unlikely combination, imo. It was odd the way OT hovered over R & M in the beginning (he behaved as if a bodyguard) and then "Poof", he disappeared. That was suspicious!

makes sense to me. If Haleigh od'd, or was unconscious for another reason, I could see Ron trusting this guy to help. Resuscitation could explain the couch jumping. (yuck. that term makes me sick). Speaking of generalizing, a lot of people think that black people don't trust cops & don't snitch. If Ron thought this, he very well could have sent him over.

I agree- and, I think there is a strong possibility that Haleigh may have gotten into Ron's cocaine stash, while Misty was supposed to be watching her, and then Haleigh died from the accidental cocaine overdose.

Before anyone starts thinking that Haleigh wouldn't "like the taste" of cocaine, remember that by the time she would be tasting it, she would already be ingesting it into her bloodstream, through her mouth and nose.

At that point, Ron and Misty may have felt the need to dispose of Haleigh's body, rather than have to explain to the authorities the who/what/when/where/why of how Haleigh could get her hands on cocaine. Ron and Misty would know they would be looking at certain prison time, and of course lose custody of Ronald Jr., etc.

Just guessing about why OT might've split so suddenly:

He was clueless about whatever happened to Haleigh. Then a couple of days later learned something was very wrong with the picture. He distanced himself, because not only did he not approve, but he had his own illegal dealings going on and did not need LE attention.

Wish I had a link, but it seems I read somewhere Ronald owed OT a great deal of money. But why would he totally cut himself off like that if Ronald owed him tons of money? Perhaps the money wasn't worth going to prison over?

I don't think I suspect OT of anything regarding Haleigh, but there has got to be more to his story.

Wouldn't it be great if Levi could get him on his show?

If that's the case, then I can hardly wait for the paperwork to show who is putting funds into Misty's account, since it would behoove them to continue to pacify the princess.

Dunno if this was already mentioned but in the beginning RC wanted to go with Equusearch because it made him feel as if he was actually out there searching for Haleigh. (paraphrase).

The as if part made me go huh. It was as if he knew for sure Haleigh wasn't there to be found.

Granted, IIRC it was TM's version of what had been said and not a recording of RC's actual words.

This was always confusing to me, since he proposed and they were married within a week, whether that search was scheduled before and he knew about it and still had the wedding that day, or whether the search was organized despite Ronald's marriage rush. I do know that the marriage seems to be more correlated to the trip to NYC for the Today Show, since whether it was consensual or not, the Mann Act still applied. But then TN was there to assure the world that nothing untoward was going on, so it still makes no sense why the rush to wedding.
