Suspicious behavior of Haleigh Cummings father

I think if Ron hurt Haleigh in front of Misty, she would have attempted to stop it. Did Misty have any injuries, in the beginning? I for one, believed her initial story of not hurting Haleigh. I also think she looked like she was in shock, & I believed her tears. I may be wrong, but my initial gut feeling was that Misty was innocent, but hiding something, & that Ron was a faker, a liar, & guilty. I actually closed my eyes & cringed during his 911 exchange. I was so sure he was acting, that it was too uncomfortable for me to finish. I felt like I was listening to very scared child killer who was petrified of getting caught.

Misty was enshrouded in oversized jackets for a very long time after Haleigh disappeared.

In general, there's a problem with the alarm system that went out:

Misty says she called Timmy. Timmy and Chelsea (Chelsea specifically) says they were home, in bed, sleeping, and stayed in bed for a few hours.

TN says Ronald called her at a time which puts it during the 911 call.

GGM says Ronald called and she ignored the first one, then answered the second one.

NO ONE says they called the Croslin household.

The two hangups of Ronald Cummings.

Yet, on the video, Ronald and TN talk about how they called everyone they knew.

OK.

Who's on first again?

;)

Whisperer, here's one from crankycrankerson's (AR) photobucket, compliments of Brandi.

FWIW and my own experience - this hand is not injured from punching. Between his pinky and ring finger - there is injury - that does NOT come from punching. I'll give ya the knuckles but even that - the scrapes on the knuckles aren't on the "peaks" but off to the sides- not indicitive of punching.

His hand is sure "beat up" but IMO it is not from punching a wall or car or whatever it was we were told he punched. KWIM?

Now wait - I take that back but just a little. Seeing my post with the picture - it could have been he punched someone in the mouth and misjudged and caught the teeth with the end of his hand - but even then how would you get cut between the pinky and ring - make a fist yourself and look at your hand - your pinky and ring finger are tightly closed so how would get cut that far in between them?

You mean, as though he was picking up branches and such without gloves? I was adamantly assured THAT notion was wrong (though 'tis still what I believe).

yes debs but more like he was trying to slide his hand between something and the ground or whatever and the back of his hand scraped and was cut from whatever was underneath what he was picking up ----- does that make any sense?

My eyes aren't what they used to be, but that kind of looks rounded, like a fingernail gouge.

These questions we have regarding RC and the 911 call are just common sense!

This make me wonder why LE wouldn't have seen RC as their #1 POI?

I've never gotten that impression though. It's always been Misty, hasn't it?

I'm not so sure. It seems to me, the only person who could really tell them whether RC was involved or not is Misty. We know LE has sure worked on getting her to tell more. If LE does suspect RC, I think it's time to put the pressure on and let the public know.

The only reason I would think LE does suspect Ron is the drug busts. Yes, we know it's separate from the Haleigh case, but they could have had Misty at sale one, two or three, yet they wait to get the big guy. I have to ask myself why?

could be - wish we had a better picture with those fingers spread a little further apart. Here's another thought - what about a "backhand"? When you go to "backhand" someone your pinky and ring finger are not tightly together - there is some space between them which would allow for something to cut in between them that far.

I would really like to see what he told LE about the injury to his hand and what he had to back that up. We all heard how he was "punching" things that night, but he couldn't have been punching THAT hard or his hand would really be more torn up. In my teens I got mad (from a phone call hang up) and I went to punch a wall. I misjudged and hit the light switch on the wall  At the hospital - I actually broke my ring finger knuckle and the Dr. called it a "boxing break" because that is what happens to boxers who punch.

It's too bad Misty's fingernails weren't checked for Ronald's skin. It could have happened while he had his hand around Misty's throat, (just a guess, and only my opinion) or while digging around in underbrush to hide a body. (another opinion or theory of mine) It does not look like injuries from hitting a door.

I'm going with you and Debs with the underbrush, tree branches, etc. I've done a lot of yardwork and those look exactly like the type of cuts you get when reaching inbetween branches, digging and maybe moving around rocks or something with sharp edges, etc. They also look pretty fresh to me.

IF someone was struggling with him over an object in his hand would that cause damage to his hand?

IA

It's much easier for him (or anyone) to just keep it simple, when he's said more than "I wuz at werk" ..... he's said things that IMO make him look guilty or things that are plain odd. The "I'd give my life for my child's life back" comes to mind, the whole Greta interview, and the Geraldo interview where he says he'll "believe that she (Haleigh) is alive until they find her". LOL I have a list but it's all already been mentioned.

By the time the Today Show came around he had been in the media for a month, and he and his mother probably already had a few "advisers" ....... well advising, and so all we got was "I dunno ......... I wuz at werk" :banghead:
"I wuz at werk" was in the script from the beginning. (He mentions being there and coming from there four times in the "emotional interview".) Teresa was the "adviser" who gave him that line and instructed him to use it and to not offer any other information. She knew what she was doing, too. The 911 call and the emotional plea for Haleigh's return couldn't be avoided. But as you pointed out, he chewed the scenery and flubbed the whole performance. That's my take on it, anyway. I apologize if I've misinterpreted your post.

I think "everyone they knew" means those who didn't have a LEO at their doors when other officers were still being dispatched to 202 Green Ln.

Please correct me if I'm wrong or missing another possible angle here but in order for your theory (above) to have occurred, Ronald would have had to take the gun over to 116 Tyler St. to hide it after he arrived home from work, was told that HaLeigh was missing and couldn't be found and they would have to call the police to report her missing or would have had to have someone else (Tommy ?) come and get the gun to take it and hide it before 911 was called. I don't buy it - something just doesn't add up. :waitasec:

MOO~

Maybe Tommy stole the gun when he went over to check on Misty and found her not there, since he did enjoy going into neighbors' homes and help himself to whatever he wanted?

So how did RC come to discover where the gun was?

If Misty wasn't home that night, how did she get to wherever she was?

Wouldn't Tommy know if Misty wasn't there because anyone coming or going from Green Lane would have to drive right by his house?

How did the gun end up in the culvert at Tommy's house, or Timmy's house?

How did Tommy usually enter the neighbors' homes to take what he wanted?
We know that Tommy stole a gun from another neighbor, but at the time it was right after ratgate, and I thought he was so scared of RC, that he stole a gun from a elderly neighbor to protect himself from RC.
However, I think another gun that he alledgedly stole is missing, as they didn't find it when Lindsy let them search her home.

Maybe RC can tell us where that one is too? jk

Maybe Tommy told RC, hey man, i don't know what happened over there but I think I saw your gun in my culvert. RC tells Misty, and there ya go.
also jk.

I have no clue.

I just wanted to post.....:)

lol - you did a pretty good job, Yo. But....

If Tommy stole Ron's gun,
- why would he tell him it was in the culvert?
- why would he let Ron have it back & then have to go steal an antique gun (that probably doesn't even werk)
- why would he keep it in a culvert w/little kids around?

ofgs - I just noticed your j/k notation, lol.

JMO - Ronald has the "gift" of "vision". He can "see" these kinds of things. Through the clouds or something.

Can I copy this over to the Tee thread?

The abrasion between his pinky and ring finger could have come from something wrapped around his fingers or pulled through his fingers. Digging and pulling through shrubs and weeds could cause that kind of injury. What else?

LFlorida: How much kudzu is in the area? The dried vines in winter are still pretty tough. If you tug at it and a vine gets caught between your fingers, you can get a pretty bad scrape. I've actually done that, myself.

I just posted a new video downstairs in the Pics/Videos thread that's directly related to the topic of this thread.

This one doesn't have a lot of laughs. I've never been more serious.
