Eagle1, you shouldn't have too much trouble. VCR's aren't too expensive these days.

My son stuck a jam sandwich in our first VCR to see if it would come up on the tv screen.

That prompted me to finally take a peek with a flashlight, and there was a tape in there, warm although nothing's turned on. So I'll try it later. Thanks, guys.

The new ones are probably so much better I just may buy one anyway. Tomorrow I'm getting my new glasses that are costing around $200 besides the insurance, "progressive" lenses, bifocals with, if I understand correctly, an in-between area but not a trifocal, and the lady said it'll take a couple of weeks to get used to them. I'll be going nuts with that, and a new toy might come in handy.

Share with me, I have had a rotten day in my personal life, I would like to have a laffin fit right about now.

Although the sandwich in the VCR got to me, hee hee.

Eagle I was gonna suggest there might be a tape in there, and then I was gonna tell you to turn the machine upside down and see if anything rattled. IF you have grandchildren or cracker munchers you could find marbles and just stuff in there.

VCR's are easy to take the screws out and look inside to check out foreign factions that might be inside.

On topic I am still thinking about FW. Friendship gone to ruin, something vital is unknown to us folk in mushroom country.

Well, if I wanted to pin it on FW, I could think up a motive, plain jealousy that JonBenet was "doing" so much more than his daughter. But of course I can't pin it on anyone because I wasn't there.
