TX Suzanne Clark Simpson missing in San Antonio, last seen by friends at dinner - 6 October 2024 *Arrest* #2

This is a good idea to look into ATV / UTV OR ranch truck. Surely LE went onto the cotter ranch to search . Re: Medina town quick trip his (BS) truck took… I don’t know if people here have thought about this, but out here in South Texas on ranches it is not uncommon to have workmen from Mexico living and working on the ranches. There’s a term for this that’ll probably get me thrown off this board so I won’t say it. But regardless, these hard working folks do what they’re asked and don’t ask questions. Cotter hand off to his ranch workers or other known ranch and their workers could have completed the “task” . The quick Crete and other drama could have been a ruse.

When was he buying a burner phone? At the HEB? Or did he already have one? And cotter too? The burner phones existence and their origin and inception of use date are the big mystery to me.
Also - short wave radios or walkie talkies are often used on the ranches to communicate . Western bandera county mobile service and even Kendall county areas have bad cell service. Alternative methods are used in remote areas. It’s a thing.

I have another question for the group here. How can the brother and sister of Brad Simpson already be hiring a junk hauling clean up company to go into the house and clean it out who gave them legal authority to do this? Legal authority? Some excuse was given that they needed to sell it. Who is they? And what about Brad? Doesn’t he own the house Susanne and he owned it together how can they make any legal decisions yet? It seems like this situation would freeze anything going on with banks or mortgages or whatever. I’m concerned about the children and who legally has custody of them. Is there a war brewing between the Clarks and the Simpsons that is not being talked about? There’s something really off about this business.

Chandler explained that after arriving in San Antonio, she and her siblings went to the police, which led to a search warrant for their home in Olmos Park.

"Because of me and my siblings' statements did not align with what my dad had told them, they were able to get a search warrant to get into the house to see the hole in the wall from where my dad had pushed my mom downstairs and to arrest him and put him in jail," she said.

There may have been financial problems and if not there were loads of expenses.
<modsnip - sleuthing the children> There may be a mortgage on the house, homeowners insurance, monthly bills, cell phones for 3 kids with monthly bills and car payments/ insurance for at least two of the four kids.
Property tax is high in Texas with no state income tax.
There is nothing off imho.
Just acting quickly to reduce bills and secure equity <modsnip>
The two families seem to have great love and respect for each other as family and are lovingly working together in support of the four beloved children.
IMHO

Yeah I'd say the two families are almost unusually united for a situation like this. His brother has been clear they believe he killed her and that he needs to tell what happened. The unfortunate reality is there are so many practical issues that have to be addressed in these types of situations. Kids need money and support and health insurance and tuition. The older kids are probably having to travel an unusual amount. All of them need financial and practical and emotional support. Not to mention that if I had a family member arrested like this, I couldn't afford to suddenly take on their mortgage and other home upkeep expenses for more than a month or two.

I have no doubt law enforcement released the scene and gave the okay for the clear out.

@ImFine and @Bean&Cheese AMAZING work, thanks for the local insight! For the 2 parties that were arrested, is there any confirmation that they had ATV/UTV vehicles that could help them transport further back on the properties more easily? Based upon my experience in that area it seems like most either have them or have access to them. Especially for a larger property it could take them to a more remote area maybe they'd accessed while hunting and not ready accessible by pickup.
UTV and ATV very common in this neck of the hill country. Does not appear to be a lot of hunting on the Cotter property based on satellite imagery. No permanent stands or feed station/pens that I could see but very probable they have access to one for ranch work purposes.
In a hurry and under duress it would seem to me BS would go to a known spot for initial and final drop place not running around Bandera County looking for random easily accessible hiding place.
The affidavit states the only property in Bandera County searched is the Highland address. LE has not disclosed publicly but it seems there is enough reasonable suspicion based on texts between BS and Cotter to issue a search warrant for the Cooter property. Maybe they have and not disclosed.

This is more accurate….chandler interviewed. As I said before…he had help.

Encrypted messages being sent from jail???

Not sure why you quoted my post saying “this is more accurate” - if you are meaning Chandler’s time in Paris that is under the umbrella of Parson’s School of Design NYC?
Or something else?
Please explain why I’m quoted here- I’m not following

My heart went out to Chandler listening to this JM interview- boy he’s full of hot air-loves to hear himself speak and hardly let her get a word in edgewise.
I’m not a fan of any psychic - very obvious JM read all the press articles and spouted off a bunch of BS he concocted that regurgitated what we all already know/ knew from press articles. Poor Chandler. She’s very brave. Suzanne would be so proud!

IMHO

The post I replied to was not directed at the poster …I just couldn’t figure out how to make a new post. Sorry.

1. The culture in that community is wealthy and the local community police are the paid protection for “the powerful” in that community. I lived there. It’s their function by design. The boys know it. The women too. powerful families pull the strings for everything …even if you think they don’t. They do.

<modsnip - sleuthing the children>

The Cotter-Simpson janitorial service scheme of the past tells us the boys knew a thing or two about clean up, crime scenes and the ignored and invisible working community in janitorial and waste/trash operations of our wider city.

Dumb and smart at the same time. Connections to organized crime are not a stretch. They operate in the area all across San Antonio to the border and beyond. If you’re from down here you know.

The psychic stuff is weird. But the truth talk is interesting . The grown up (15, 18 & 20) children saw the abuse . They know. The friends of Suzanne know.

That’s what I have been wondering as well… like, does the brother know something that we don’t that makes him confident that BS won’t be getting out of prison? (That’s at least what I am hoping for). Or is it that the brother bought it from them and allowed them to live in it given the financial troubles? (but, he would have been listed on the deed… right?). Like, how could they sell it without BS signing off on it

Another thought after a quickcrete ad video popped up… in the video, a hose is used. BS bought jugs of water. So, could one infer that he was in a more remote place than his ranch to where he didn’t have easy access to water for the cement? The cowboy boots and bug spray (if not used for the body to deter flies) points to a, “yes”.

I had a thought pop in my head about old water cisterns. Cisterns can be anywhere from 200 gallons to over 5000 gallons. Cisterns are an above ground water storage structures commonly used throughout the hill country. The old ones are built rather crudely out of concrete reinforced with barb wire and still hold water in present time. Normally located where the original homestead house was located or around animal containment structures often concealed by brush overgrowth due to decades of neglect and can be miles from suppling water source i.e spring or well.
Been looking around the Cotter satellite imagery for something that might stick out. Just something to think about.

Oh that is a great thought… and the cement anchor would hold her body down and not floating (I feel so awful referring to her as her “body”- that is not how I will remember her though- I remember her as her smiling friendly face at school functions).

Yah I think that's more for the water table, but every well and septic requires a permit, I just can't access that info because Bandera County doesn't have it up and TCEQ isn't giving anything either :(
No, that will also show new well reports. Click on the groundwater tab, then click on "well reports" and all the digitalized well reports for new wells will show up. If you find the property you're interested in on the map, click on that well and it will take you to a link to the info. But for what it is worth, no regular domestic or livestock wells are going to be any bigger than about 10" in diameter. They're deep, but not wide at all and not someplace anyone would try to hide a body.

Ahhh yah I didn't mess with it enough I guess but thank you for walking me through it! Great info!

On the Bexar deed records it shows in 2022 a Release of Deed of Trust to BS and Suzanne from the bank for the house, and that's usually when the loan is satisfied or paid off, right?

What about field irrigation or drainage pipes? I'm seeing info that "shoulder width" for an average-sized woman is 14". (Note that Suzanne Simpson was 5'5", 140 lbs, so she was just 1" taller than average height for women in the U.S., which is 5'4".) Also, I'm seeing that irrigation pipes range in diameters from 6" to 27", with a high percentage of these pipes that are 12" or 15" in diameter.

So, I agree with you that 10" livestock wells sound too narrow, but what about 15" or larger irrigation or drainage pipes. Can these be found in the Bandera area, maybe especially along the Medina River?

Another possibility, and seemingly simpler and quicker than finding the right-sized pipe, would be to pick out a recess or depression in the riverbank, place the tarp (still wrapping the body) inside it, cover the tarp with larger stones from riverbed, put the prepped concrete on top to secure everything, and then place more stones on top of that to hide the concrete.

These scenarios both seems possible to me.
