The defense attorney for Brad Chandler Simpson, the husband of missing real estate agent Suzanne Clark Simpson, says the case against his client is weak and that it's "ludicrous" Simpson remains in the Bexar County jail, unable to get his $2 million bail reduced.
Steven Gilmore, Brad Simpson's court-appointed attorney, said Simpson is being held in administrative segregation and is confined to his cell at least 23 hours a day.

Gilmore said ethics rules forbid him to reveal what his client has told him, but he said Simpson intends to plead not guilty. Gilmore called the case against Simpson “theater to incapacitate him — to keep him in custody."

The documents say Cotter agreed to hide the machine gun at his San Antonio home, concealing it in the wall of his home. When authorities searched Cotter's home Monday, records say, an ATF K-9 team helped locate where exactly the gun was.
The firearm had a string attached to its sight that would allow it to be retrieved "out of the void" in the wall, according to the documents.

I tend to think he was just hiding the gun bc the husband knew arrest was coming and didn’t want to get caught with a known illegal weapon. I don’t think that weapon was actually used to kill her. But we’ll see. All IMO only.

Do we have the address where Cotter was arrested?

Were any recovered weapons fired (say- about almost 11 times)

GSR tests performed for either arrested individual and all family members done?

Mighten’ a body have been “disposed” of closer to Cotters house than Olmos Park?
(and is that along the route to the Towers Shopping where/next to which the LE originally had reason to search)?

I searched Bear County Property records and could not locate any property for a James Valee Cotter. There is a home in 78209 near Alamo Heights Middle School that is owned by a Cotter Living Trust. That is an area near many of the Simpson’s friends and family.
From your prior posts you seem to have legitimate concerns that a search needs to be conducted near your home. I know you attempted to contact authorities. I can only recommend being persistent. Contact different departments and officers. Possibly contact local news sources that are actively reporting this likely murder. I hope today is the day Suzanne is found.

I don’t think BS used a gun to kill SS. I think he used his bare hands/ strangled her/ broke her neck.
SUNDAY NIGHT
Per witness he forcefully dragged her into the woods, she allegedly screamed.
I think that
was the end of her.
Neighbor went out with flashlight and didn’t see anything- witnessed BS returning and leaving for @2 hours in his truck.
I think BS loaded her body into the truck and moved it.
I think it was a temporary move - they have navigation from his truck but he left his phone home.
MONDAY MORNING
I think he dropped his daughter at school and then took a vehicle without navigation back to the dump site and retrieved SS body then permanently disposed of her.
He had a long stretch of time before calling her mom to say SS didn’t pick up their daughter from school.

I don’t think they will find her - at least not in the short term. She was intentionally well hidden and she’s definitely north of Bexar County closer to or in the Bandera area.
They searched 4 areas before the dump and those areas are places that likely showed up based on his black truck’s navigation system.
Then they searched the dump with 25+ helpers

This is Texas- probably many folks with illegal/ unregistered guns here if it comes down to it.
They are grasping after reading through BS correspondence after SS disappearance.
This latest arrest speaks to BS character but not his crime of killing/ concealing SS.
She’s not in the woods near their Olmos home. They don’t know where to look as BS wasn’t stupid about her final resting place in his mind.
Idk if they have enough to hold him.

That may change, but perhaps a lot of the wealth he appears to have is debt or tied up elsewhere? Or they have to figure out assets etc…I’m not super familiar with process of getting appointed attorney vs. private., but something tells me he’ll play all of the games. Jmo

An illegal weapon charge is the least of BS problems IMO though.

Control freaks like him may leave the weapon to be found if it was not involved and let LE spend weeks or months testing it to come up empty.

I think BS trusts his partner very much as they have done very dodgy stuff together in the past and have had each others backs before.

The child told school officials that her dad hit her mom in the face and possibly pushed her mom into a wall, according to the arrest affidavit. The child also told school officials her mom had a bruise on her elbow and her dad had taken her mom's phone away.
