I'm looking for a missing persons case of a person who was tall (6'7/6'8) and had gone out west to a motorcycle rally. This would have been either in the 90s or 2000s.

Oh my, I feel sad for your missing relationship, but you really need to give more information for people to be helpful. Are there any news reports of this missing person? Was this person ever reported missing? Was this a man? What country are you writing from so we get an idea of what "out west" might be?

one of the few unidentified persons that tall on this board would be the guy found in the surf at South Beach, Miami. Wrong coast, but I would look at the post mortems of him to see if he by some strange chance is who you are looking for.

From what I recall on the case, he traveled west with a few others. There were a series of rally's and after leaving one of them with a group of bikers he never returned.

Interesting. Is he listed on any missing person site? When an adult disappears, in the absence of evidence of peril or foul play, police can be reluctant to list someone.

He doesn't fit all your circumstances but could it possibly be David Lovely?
I looked though NamUs and no one else comes close. Do you remember where you heard about MP's case?

It's not but that's an interesting one as well.

Did he travel out to South Dakota for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally?

The Laughlin river run is a big rally in Nevada.

I seem to recall Oklahoma or Colorado. I recall people remember seeing him in town and he went on a ride with some people and never came back.

Did you see this thread? Date unidentified white male found in CA was the end of December 1994. He was wearing what appears to be motorcycle riding gear, black leather jacket and black leather boots.

Interesting. The person who went missing though was known, I just can't find his thread.

Maybe it was resolved?
That's a good possibility! I wish I could remember more about it. It just had a biker gang feel to it.

6'5 man found in Colorado in 2002, who was possibly in the area for a motorcycle rally.

Not sure about any missing biker but the following organizations host rallies.

Oklahoma has an ABATE (A Brotherhood Aiming Toward Education) website and some publications/newspapers/newsletters in a folder called "Biker Journals" here. The 2009 issue (screenshot attached) mentions rallies that have been going on since 1999.

There's an ABATE of Colorado, that stands for A Brotherhood Active Towards Education, and it has many 'districts' according to this webpage. You may have to dig for rally info.

What about Kansas? Does A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments (ABATE) sound familiar?

"Kansas 50th Annual National Labor Day Rally 2025 Schedule" and "See you next year for the 51st Annual ABATE of Kansas National Labor Day Rally" are written on this ABATE Kansas website.

That means they've been hosting rallies since 1975, which is in your timeframe.

I just discovered these organizations because a different biker went missing this year at one of their KS events and was found in OK, but I haven't found any information about a missing rider/biker from 25+ years ago. Maybe the new story about Patrick "Crim, 34, [who] disappeared after being last seen about 9:45 p.m. Aug. 30 at an ABATE motorcycle rally at Lake Perry" will jog some memories.
