My parents were lifetime members of the Heritage thing. I was too young to send money.Did you send her money?
How do you know that she did not regret her past misdeeds? Most of us do.

Oh, I don't know if she regretted her misdeeds, or if she even admitted to specific misdeeds. I have been googling. I did come across a book that JimBakker wrote, "I was wrong". Never read more than the reviews though.Did you send her money?

Was she still married to 2nd husband? Interesting that there is a statement from Jim Bakker regarding her death, but nothing about 2nd husband Messner.
I think that you couldn't help but like Tammy Faye. She was bubbly and unpretentious, at least, the few times that I saw her speak.nanandjim, The interview aired this past Thursday night, I saw it. Last night I tuned in to LKL and thought they were repeating Thursdays program then I noted at the bottom of the screen that Tammy has died.
Saturday program first half hour was repeat of Thursday, last 30 minutes had cuts from other interviews with Tammy, her two children and Jim.
------
PSU fan, The American courts dealt with deciding who needed to go to prison.
Some sleuther can dig up more facts from that case.
God will be her judge, not me. The people loved Tammy and Jim, and gave from their hearts, the Bakers did a lot of good things with the money as well.
I guess they could have lived in a hovel, but. I loved seeing her on interviews, surfed past the 700 club once or twice. I prefer being with my God alone, rather than in crowded arenas. But an ocasional trip to a crowded arena tends to ground me and strengthen my faith. In the long run people usually just end up being people. The good, the bad and the ugly.
I wish my post were perfect, but it is me.

ETA: I think that one of the links said that she did a 2000 documentary explaining what happened in the PTL fiasco. I think that would interesting to watch because I really don't know the particulars.
Hmmm...That's quite a review. It sounds like the book is not steeped in reality and is full of denial. She wrote a book Nan: "Telling it my Way". She blames mostly Jerry Falwell. Here's a link to a review:

Good comeback boyz, that is true.I have a few nice pieces of jewelry. Am I now responsible for starving children?
Amen, Jeana. She suffered through hell here on earth during her last years ~ especially in the horrible way cancer ravaged her body. May she be at peace now in God's loving arms. We're all sinners. Its up to God to decide, but something tells me that she'll be forgiven and a place in Heaven was waiting for her. She was truly one of a kind!
It is horrible, a terrible way to go. I am glad she is at peace now, poor thing.Amen, Jeana. She suffered through hell here on earth during her last years ~ especially in the horrible way cancer ravaged her body. May she be at peace now in God's loving arms.![]()
When I saw her on Larry King the other night, I couldn't believe she was actually able to sit there, talk to Larry and be in such good humor. What an inspiration and a testimony to her faith in God.It is horrible, a terrible way to go. I am glad she is at peace now, poor thing.
