Tape Discussion#2- Anthony's hired DC to find Caylee dead or alive *CLIP ADDED*

  • #461
Exactly how has the defense been tripping over this tape? It makes NO difference if they saw the tape the same day it was taken, or the next day or the day after that, or if they watched it every single on a 24 hour loop. Unless they have direct evidence that Casey Anthony led them to the exact spot where the body was found, the tape is meaningless as proof or evidence of anything.

So what if it was Lee Anthony on the phone? Obviously, the tape doesn't show the PI finding a body. All that tape proves is that he was on the phone with someone, he could claim that if it was LA, they were talking about football and there is NOTHING on that tape to contradict that.

What surprises me is why anyone would let a sleazebag like Hoover pull the wool over her eyes. This tape is worthless as evidence.

You know, it is possible that the Anthonys received a tip from a psychic, had a hunch from speaking to Casey or received info from one of Casey's friends. Cindy Anthony said that until she was given uncontravertible proof that her granddaughter was dead, she would continue to believe her alive. Now what is wrong with that? If it was my granddaughter or my any of my children, I would have trouble believing that he/she was dead until I saw the body and I would not believe myself that any of my children could commit a crime like this. Why shouldn't the Anthonys support and defend their daughter? I would support and defend my children, wouldn't you?

Either way, you can't convince me that this tape is worthless. If it were worthless these professional people down in Orlando would not be wasting their time, nor their breath on arguing in the news as to who owns the damn tape. They would not say one thing one day, then turn right around and say something totally different the next.
People who are not guilty of something could care less. There is something to this video for them to all be acting in the manner they are.... Why else would they act like a ton of children on a playground fighting over the last swing available?

Wow...you missed one of my favorite parts! What is with these lawyers and the people they represent. Lee's lawyer basically just told everyone, on national tv, that his client lied to him about having talked to DC.

The video shows the Anthony family's private eye, Dominic Casey, prodding and poking the ground at the crime scene and on the cell phone with someone.

"Is it Lee?" WFTV reporter Kathi Belich asked Luka on Monday.

"No, not that I know of. He denied ever talking to him," he said.

But Eyewitness News uncovered video of Lee Anthony and Dominic Casey at the jail together right after Lee's sister Casey was arrested there. So, Kathi Belich asked again.

That's all different reports of the same thing, released right after news of the video came out. I don't see Baez "tripping all over himself" about this.

Baez's client can only do so much time. She won't see the light of day with or without the tape. It is not the piece of evidence that will do her in. Some of the other players in this mess, the tape could be really damaging to. Conway seems to be tripping over himself to try to get the tape under work product.

My guess is that we will find out that he phoned one of the As or JB....and the next thing they will say is the psychic used that phone. The person who will claim to have been the psychic with the vision will be someone associated with KFN or the As.
Perhaps it was the show, "Who wants to be a Millionaire?" calling him for an answer on "phone a friend"?! Hahahahaha~

I thought about that...the psychic will be at the A fam house or using Cindy's phone at the KFN site or something. Bet you are right!

And HOW long was it before the investigators got him to come in for an interview?!?! LOL It seems he was "unavailable" for a few right after all this came out, wasn't he?

GMAB! People just aren't buying it anymore!!! Nothing from the A fam camp is forthcoming or truthful, imo. I think people are finally realizing what they are all about!

He was unavailable to WFTV, and for that I don't blame him. Did LE say they had to hunt him down? I really don't know.

"My name is Luca, I used to be a lawyer for Lee. Yes, I think I had a job, but I stuck my foot in it once more." (With apologies to Susan Vega)

This is the same man who also said Lee was grieving deeply the loss of his daughter......er, niece. Jesus. What an asshat.

Here's Luca, making his "I'm fired!" face.

LOL

My nameis Luka. I represented Lee Anthony last week. Wait I take that back, it wasn't last week, it was today. No, wait did I represent Lee Anthony? I didn't, I didn't represent that Lee Anthony.

Baez is really going to have to come up with a doozy to take back the dumbest thing said by an attorney title. Some real stiff competetion there.

Do you not have a problem that DC has lied every step of the way about this?! I certainly do!! Yes...I do have the links to prove it!!! Should I go dig those up again?!

Since when is it OK to lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, get caught in all the lies by your partner who turns over evidence to LE you are lying, then continue to believe that you have done nothing wrong and feel "betrayed"?! GMAB! It is NOT OK to lie.

I do agree! Casey is done for with or without the tape. If the defense was going to try to spin this tape in their defense at all, they have all discredited it before they could even release it in the discovery phase. Right now, they are back to square one, trying to figure out how to defend the killer of Caylee, and they are running out of nonsense. They are literally just hammering the nail deeper into her coffin.

This made me spit my drink out.

"Is it Lee?" WFTV reporter Kathi Belich asked Luka on Monday."No, not that I know of. He denied ever talking to him," he said.

But Eyewitness News uncovered video of Lee Anthony and Dominic Casey at the jail together right after Lee's sister Casey was arrested there.

So, Kathi Belich asked again."Is it Lee on the phone with Dominic Casey?" Belich asked Luka."As far as I know, as far as my client is concerned, it's not him on the phone on November 15th 2008," Luka said."

Could it be somebody who Lee spoke with who then went to Dominic Casey and provided information?" Belich asked."In the realm of speculation, it could've been anyone," Luka said.

Even though last week Eyewitness News heard that only Dominic Casey's colleague, private eye Jim Hoover who shot it, had a copy of the videotape at the scene where Caylee's remains were found almost a month later, Luka said he saw it last week and talked to Dominic Casey about it. Then he backtracked."How did you see it last week? Who showed it to you last week?" Belich asked Luka.

"Well, I take that back," Luka said. "I was not shown it. When it was on TV I saw it.""Well, it wasn't on TV until last night," Belich told Luka."

Well, I take that back. I did not see it. Did I see it? No, I did not see that video. I take that back. That was not the video I saw," he said.

LOL....I loved those parts too. What are these lawyers doing? Are they really kidding themselves that their tv appearances are helping their clients?

He was the first one!!! JB scrambled immediately into CYA mode!!! If you didn't see it...maybe you should go back and look at the articles which mention him trying to figure out a way to keep the investigators from talking openly to DC!!! TRIP. TRIP. TRIP.

If the investigators wanted to talk to DC, they would have gone to his home or his office and talked to him. Obviously, it wasn't that important to the police.

That Baez wanted to be present when Casey was questioned, is to Baez's credit as an attorney - any good attorney would not want an employee or contractor speaking to the police without a lawyer defending his client's right to privilege. I can't imagine why anyone interested in seeing a conviction in this case not support that right. I'd rather there weren't any grounds for an appeal or overturn of the verdict because of something stupid like this.

JB isn't tripping over himself to prevent an interview, he's doing exactly what he's supposed to be doing and that's provide a zealous defense for his client.

They did say that. That their attempts to contact him and requests for interview had not received any response. He only talked to them after it hit the media, and after it was clear that there was a tape in Hoover's control.

If I'd been out there, in the area close to where the body was ultimately found, say within 10 feet of it, on two and possibly more occasions, walking, picking up and moving objects, slicing open bags, digging, ramming a probe into the ground, what would I do when less than a month later the discovery was made? If I was just a regular person? If I was a loved one of the victim who wanted justice done? And I have video of at least some of the time I spent there. Perhaps I would just keep quiet, sweat a bit and hope I really didn't spit out my gum there that morning. Maybe I'd be very concerned that I might have disturbed the crime scene, or a portion of it, and I'd call LE and offer them the evidence I have, just in case it might be helpful to them. I could go on, but it's too . . . this case.
