If a parent of a missing child collects money from the public,what better use than to find your missing child?It's not like he would be using money for four wheelers,furniture or himself.Tim is the best in finding missing people.Who said whether they were being paid or not?

As Watts set up the FIRST donations for Ron...one might think that an engagement, tats, oh and a wedding etc might have played second fiddle and that money could have been used for a search.

It's all about priorities....Ron has made his priorities well known and Haleigh seems to be way down on his list....

There is a difference between inquiry and inquisition. People are inquiring why Teresa would hire a criminal/family/civil/media relations attorney. I do not see any (or IF I do, I ignore them for the content anyway) posts which would tar and feather her for the action. They are merely shuffling around the idea of why.

Mark NeJame was contacted to help bring attention to the fact that HaLeigh is missing and needs to be found. Like you said - (in addition to other things) he is a media relation attorney. He is bringing HaLeigh's name and face to the public's attention on a national level.

Why do people find that hard to understand? Apparently Teresa and the family got tired of sitting around waiting for LE to find HaLeigh. They reached out to Mark NeJame for help. IMO, he is already doing a wonderful job.

Has anyone discussed or considered that perhaps this contact for TES to become involved is a little too late? 6 months later....as in If Haleigh is deseased that if & when her remains would be found by TES, that they would be so badly decomposed, there'd be no way to tell...the who, what & how. Seems rather conveinent to me that all of the sudden she thinks to get TES involved. Why not a lot sooner? Personally, I'm rather perplexed at the timing, and this is NOT ABOUT that Haleigh is in the news. I am just wondering about another motivation here or another one-upmanship towards the maternal side. After all, it was rather conveinent to push Haleighs Closet to the back seat. In which it suceeded. Not that it was the only motivation. Just saying.

I can see amazing similarities between TN and CA! Both had children who have long exhibited signs of abnormal behavior, from dropping out of school, to substance abuse, to numerous illegal activities. Both of the mothers covered for them, made up excuses to themselves and others, took up the slack for their parenting failures, etc. The longer the case goes on, the more alike the two appear. JMOO

Why has the Sheffield-Griffis family not done anything to find HaLeigh? They opened the HaLeighBug Foundation, collected however much money which was said to be used to conduct searches and raise the reward. Could you please point me to a link or anything that shows me even ONE search the Foundation planned and conducted. The reward has not been raised. Have they conducted Tim Miller and Equusearch in the past six months to search for HaLeigh??

I don't think either side of the family did anything because they were relying on LE to find her. IMO, these people - ALL of HaLeigh's loved ones - can only take so much waiting and missing her. I don't care WHO called in help. I'm SO GLAD that Teresa took the initiative and help is finally here. HALEIGH IS STILL MISSING! SHE NEEDS TO COME HOME!

Crystal's former attorney was fired for speaking too much.

And how exactly was what Kim Picazio doing helping to find HaLeigh? Kim was NOT out there doing press to help find HaLeigh. Can we at least be honest, please? Kim was out there trying to slam Ron every time she opened her mouth (IMO). Can you find any videos of her speaking about HaLeigh, or how HaLeigh needed to be found? Those are the appearances Mark NeJames and Teresa are starting to do.

I don't think allowed is the right word. I think they were all asked not to speak to the media, one side honored that request and one side didn't. I think it reached a point where the Cummings family said enough is enough we are speaking out and taking some action. I am thankful that these steps were taken and Haleighs name is out there again and that searches will be done.

Right, and glad I made a point.......however, I cant quite think of CA & TN are alike in any way. It's just unsettling...I read the news articles. TES will return in Approx 6 weeks, once summer vegitation has reduced. And I know, they aint looking for an alive Haleigh in those searches they mentioned. But I just thought to myself what caused the sudden and compassionate response from TES & MN so late in the game. When TES left, TM said "she's just not here". I will add, TN surely does show the emotion of a grieving person and she does well on camera. At least with CA, TN doesnt get me angered. But theres just oo many peices to this we are missing. MOO

I totally agree,Mark doesn't need to make a name for himself on this case,he's already known as being a good lawyer.And if he does have a PI,he's not in it for the glory either,because we're not sure if he has one or not.I hope he does.I'm glad Mark is involved,he's well known all over the world and his goal is to help bring HaLeigh home.

I agree with one exception, IMO, there is an added element of overcompensating on TN's part with Ronald as an attempt to make up for her absense as a mother in his childhood. I recognized it almost immediately as I have a very dear & long-time friend who's mother ran off repeatedly with whatever guy appealed to her at the moment, thus her grandmother raised both her and her brother thru out most of their childhood. When she became pregnant with her first child her mother began calling her more frequently & regularly - never happened up until that time. Everytime her mother called she'd say things like, "Oh, I can't wait until you have him (she was having a boy), I'll do . . . I'll take him to . . . I'll buy him . . ." She said that it finally hit her, her mother saw her child as her second chance - Because my friend had worked through alot of her issues in counseling over the past few years prior to this, she was able to nip it in the bud in a really healthy & positive way. She had a sit down with her mother and told her how she viewed what she was doing and told her straight up that what is lost, is lost. It can't be recovered and her own child will not be used as an opportunity to make up for the past. My friend had forgiven her mother and she told her, "Mom we've both discussed this and I've worked through it - I've forgiven you and as far as I'm concerned, it ends here. I don't want to take the past, and I don't want you to bring the past, into my child's future." of course when she shared this with me, which was several years later at the time our friendship began, she recognized that had she not had counseling and worked through the issue, she could have easily taken advantage of her mother's guilt. JMO but I see that with TN's as well - HaLeigh & Jr = her second chance. I guess what you didn't do for your own children, you do for your grandchildren and that makes it all right - not . . .

Which side didn't speak to the media ? We've got multiple videos of members of both sides speaking to the media, as well as member's of Misty's family - which I guess is a third side.

The Today Show wasn't a success for Ron and Misty and the accident photo thingy didn't turn out good for Crystal.

Ronald begged Tim and TES not to leave Satsuma until they found Haleigh. Tim was needed other places and he left, imo. They did NOT wait six months as they called in TES soon after she went missing.

They did not wait six months so it WAS done months ago! Who do you think called TES?!

We have no way to know when MN was contacted by Teresa and if MN had other pressing matters in his law practice which prevented him from being involved earlier. He is still working on the matter in Caylee's case for Tim and TES. I am sure they are not his only clients as he is a respected attorney.

I agree, Donjeta. I went back and looked at some early media coverage yesterday and all the parties on both sides of the family were initially very open about saying what they thought, expressing their emotions, and trying to answer questions honestly. I think they got royally burned by the media and too many people have unfairly criticized them and slandered them in blogs and forums. Now they are criticized for keeping mum about things and being vague. WHO CAN BLAME THEM, for pete's sake?!!
TN is being very careful with her words, as she should be.
