I knew in my gut there was something more with those students. People are violating immigration rules left and right. LE was holding them for a reason. I still want to know who the girls were that were taken away in a consulate van. What country are they from?

So what happens to these syudents will they be sent back to their country or deported, stand trial then deported?

According to Alan Dershowitz on CNN, tried, serve time if convicted, then deported. CNN also reporting a girlfriend of DT was living at the same address. It's not known if she is the third person arrested.

"Students" on a student visa who are not students. Not attending any classes. Wonder what they do all day to pass the time?

According to CNN, arrested for lying to investigators and obstruction of justice. Lied about seeing the bombers after the bombing took place. Obstruction of justice for getting rid of items that belonged to Younger Bomber by throwing them into a dumpster.

So they were doing what they could to assist Younger Bomber, knowing that he had blown up all those people. Nice guys!

I hope we don't have to go through the "they're just kids" discussion with these three.

And this is one school. How many other schools around the US have these violations going on. With all the technology we have today and we are no better off of keeping track of people than before we had computers!! If you are here to go to school, you better be in school,IMO.!!

Wasn't these student's apt. the one where they found bullets all over the floor? Upon LE's return visit a U-Haul truck was brought, however, nothing was taken. I thought these were two important statements, however, odd that a truck was brought yet nothing was taken from the apt.

The question still remains, where were the bombs built? Any reports of TT seen around this particular apt. before the bombings? How far is it from TT's apt in Cambridge?

Why bring it up if you do not want it discussed! I don't think anyone here brushed off all of DT's actions as being 'just a kid', they were just honestly discussing it could be different than being 26 or 34 or whatever.

"If they knew about the bombing, if they were involved in the bombing, the charges would be conspiracy to do the acts for which the other man has already been charged," Dershowitz told CNN. "So it sounds like at this point in time the only evidence they have is actions that took place after the bombing

It's about a 45 min drive from Cambridge to UMassD. Maybe a little longer depending.

<modsnip>

I'm referring to the rectangular white patch pointed out by the red arrow (follow line of arrow about one more inch and you'll see it):

And yes, the stripe on that blue-jacketed man's backpack looks more similar, at least in some of the photos. Though again, it's hard to know if it's a stripe or just lining in these shots.

The students are originally from Kazakhstan and were already in custody on immigration charges, according to another source with knowledge of the immigration case. The third is a U.S. citizen, the federal law enforcement source said.

http://www.cnn.com/2013/05/01/us/boston-attack/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

The students who now face charges went to college with Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the source familiar with the immigration case said.

bbm

I believe they were taken in just after the bombing, correct?

CNN reporting fireworks stuffed into backpacks were among items dumped by newly arrested students.

Its probably those students at UMass Dartmouth. I think the police found the laptop in the landfill.

Why am I thinking I heard earlier in the case that these roommates were not in school and their visas had expired?

Thanks Hockeymom! I am glad you read that about the consulate van too back in the early days! That was a red flag and no one is talking. . .:seeya:

I trully don't know.

After they have served their sentences, they would be deported. Could be a very long sentences depending on the charges. Additional charges could also be brought. Five years per lie, according to Dershowitz is a possible sentence, just for the lying to FBI part of it.

The two boys are on student visas. One is not enrolled in classes which is a violation of his visa. The other boy is enrolled. Do not know about expiration of visas.

Who was bankrolling these thugs?

And if they don't return to the school at the start of a new semester, school should report this to immigration. If they are found to be in another school, no problem.

Police are investigating whether the classmates threw away a backpack at Tsarnaev's request after the bombing, which killed three people and injured 264 others. Last week law enforcement officials were seen searching dumps in southeastern Massachusetts.

The lawyer for one of the men detained on Wednesday, identified as Dias Kadyrbayeye, said his client was being held for violations of his student visa.

Yeah, that's the same feature I'm looking at, but it's hard to work out what part of the bag it's on. I don't really know how to do arrows etc on pics but the 'strap' part I'm looking at is directly below the 'L' in ATLANTA in your image. I'm not sure whether the long strip lying out to the left of the bag is a strap or a shred! :detective:
