Vaseline: how is this used in bomb making?
I agree. But I don't think it's supposed to logical to us. This is just teen speak for "I really messed up."
Well I just did a quick Google search and found detailed instructions on how to make a pipe bomb. Vaseline is often used. I won't post details here.
"Kadyrbayev knew when he saw the empty fireworks that Tsarnaev was involved in the marathon bombing," the affidavit reads. "Kadyrbayev decided to remove the backpack from the room in order to help his friend Tsarnaev avoid trouble."
Kadyrbayev and Tazhayakov face maximum sentences of five years in prison and fines of $250,000. Phillipos, a U.S. citizen, faces a maximum sentence of eight years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

IMO they look more like strap adjusters to me. They look raised - above the fabric rather than in it. I also can't see any sign of the 'hour glass' shaped ( for lack of a better description) feature on the front of TT's bag on the shredded bag. Then there's the white patch on the shredded bag. 'Tis odd.
You looked up pipe bombs too? Well, me, you and Isabelle will apparently be sharing a cell then. :jail:
So what happens to these syudents will they be sent back to their country or deported, stand trial then deported?
DK's attorney Live: we deny the charges; he did not know items involved in the bombing; his first inkling came much later...
Why would he have taken a random bag of used, empty fireworks shells out of DT's room then? What possible other reason would he have to have specifically taken it away, hidden it in a trash bag and tossed in a dumpster?
I remember Martha found out the hard way.
Sure did. And in her case, she wasn't covering up any violent acts.
Wow! This just keeps getting more and more bizarre, doesn't it?
I cannot imagine the mind-set that would lead these young men to lie time after time to Federal investigators. WTF?
I simply cannot imagine that upon learning that a "friend" had killed innocent people - and by then they apparently were quite cognizant that their friend was one of the bombers - the mind-set that would lead these guys, if innocent, to dispose of evidence.
I don't like this. I don't like this at all. I am suspicious of these three.
