Just saw a video of the mother saying that "America took away her babies". WOW she infuriates me. If they did that in Russia they would probably both be dead. What an insane woman. America is at fault, not her terrorist heartless excuses for sons. Sickening. I read on CNN that she said no one was injured, that it was all a lie, that they used red paint on the ground and on people, that it was not real blood. Stay over in Russia woman, please for our sake.

I don't think they will make any arrangements for that meeting. Too dangerous to take any chances. Dad may be demanding and try to pull any strings he can, but if he is classified as a terrorist, it isn't happening.

Especially not in a hospital setting.
If ever there would be a visit it would be in a jail where they are separated by glass and have to speak on the telephone which is recorded.

Live bomber told them from the hospital questioning. told the fbi....said in presser just now.

It had been said prior to this also, that they were heading to NY to bomb some more places. I think it came out of questioning others taken into custody during the search.

Presser:

NY Times was next on terrorist list. They had made the bombs, according to the mayor. Alive suspect said he and his brother spontaneously decided they would drive to NY that night. They saw they were low on gas, and stopped at 7/11. Five pipe bombs in their possession.

So does this guy really not care if we know everything? What an idiot. Have they read him Miranda rights yet? You would think he would know not to say anything or get a lawyer since he has been in this country most of his life. Sheesh. I mean I'm glad he's talking don't get me wrong!

(CNN) -- The surviving suspect in the Boston bombings has told investigators that he and his brother planned to bomb Times Square, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Thursday.
"Last night we were informed by the FBI that the surviving attacker revealed that New York City was next on their list of targets," Bloomberg said.
The two came up with the plan spontaneously after the Boston bombing, as the talked in an SUV they hijacked, New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev initially told investigators that he and his brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, had talked about going to New York to "party." But after further questioning he revealed that they planned to use their remaining explosives there, Kelly announced.

I know they told carjack guy they were headed to Manhattan to party, which I assumed meant bomb more people. Didn't know that others taken into custody during search knew. Wow!

I am told plans are in the works to transfer him to another more secure
situation - out of that hospital - for all kinds of reasons including objections
from staff and patients/families etc ... which would make sense.

As I had said, time and time again, someone -- whether LE or media or what have you -- jumped the gun in their reports. It takes time to assess and analyze real evidence. But nowadays with twitter, facebook, etc., everyone wants news in real time and even faster so there's bound to be rumors and misinformation. I think the public needs to learn that in order to get the most accurate news, we have to be more patient and allow TIME before details about a newsstory becomes clear. As is, if we want news in real time, we'll have to accept broad outlines of events without actual details and await the details to come in (much) later reportings.

I totally agree - it's sad, pathetic really that it's come to this. We get lies, lies, hype, more lies, and then if we're lucky we get some of the truth through the static. But the early reporting just stinks.

My own issue is that LE is giving statements, *not* from "unnammed sources close to the investigation" but "Law enforcement sources say..." and then direct quotes, not paraphrases, that are later shown to be LE-favorable fabrications. That's so wrong. We expect the media to be vultures, but when LE gets in on the act it's depressing.

And he is among maybe two people who is not grabbing his head/covering his ears from the loud explosion. This has bothered me from the minute I first saw the picture of him stepping over the wounded guy in the grey hoodie. There was also a bald guy standing at the rail who doesn't react for four or five frames...lower right corner of the picture next to a woman who is still facing the runners and has her cellphone up and facing the road.

At the second seen there are two different men that also seem to be not reacting. There is balding tall man in the dress coat, behind DT and up against the brick wall...he is facing past the immediate carnage and down toward the first blast site.

Then in the really good picture if you zoom out and pan right there is a heavy-set white-haired man, standing in the intersection, who is facing the corner where DT and the man behind him. That man almost seems to be smiling.... That is as much as I will say on this for the time being.

My brother, the marine, immediately assumed this man was military, or a veteran. He was IN the blast, clearly, unlike the two known bombers, and he books a$$ out of the bomb zone while his clothing is still being torn from him. No covering ears in shock and confusion. Quick reaction.

Yes! Was just on NPR Talk of the Nation - T has told authorities they planned to drive to NYC
and detonate bombs in Times Square. Something about stopping at the Seven-Eleven to get
gas - had bombs with them - that ordinance then used in the encounter-shootout with police.

These guys were going for broke! Were all in. Why?

:banghead:

So why would they need to shoot an MIT officer then? I wonder how that plays into the story?

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/health/2013/04/22/alleged-bombers-neck-wound-missed-vital-arteries/

Tsarnaev, 19, was taken into custody Friday night after being cornered in a backyard boat in Watertown. He was bleeding heavily and a federal complaint said he was wounded in the head, the neck, legs and hand.

Investigators have not been able to determine whether head and neck wounds were self-inflicted, sources told ABC News.

http://www.christianpost.com/news/s...-attempted-suicide-firing-gun-in-mouth-94387/

They say it appears from the wound that he might have stuck a gun in his mouth, and fired and actually just went out the back of his neck without killing him."

http://www.novinite.com/view_news.php?id=149742

He is under armed guard in hospital. CBS News quoted investigators as saying that the wound to the neck may have been a suicide attempt.

Then there is this ac 360 video, Looks like a knife wound/shrapnel.

He had nothing to lose by talking. Not everything he said is true either, and some may fit an agenda. He knows what he is facing. He may hope not to get the death penalty by talking, he may have just said f' it. I'll tell them what I want to, he is proud of being what he is.

I wonder about this too! He is almost too free with socalled info.
He may think none of it can be used against him. Has he had legal advice?
The Magistrate advised him of his rights ... Is there a lawyer there working with him?

I don't know, I was quoting someone. I am guessing it meant people that were his friends/harboring him for a bit.

The FBI informed city officials about the plot Wednesday night, the mayor said.

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nat...-america-kids-article-1.1327190#ixzz2RV7wX07U

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev initially told investigators that he and his brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, had talked about going to New York to "party." But after further questioning he revealed that they planned to use their remaining explosives there, Kelly announced.

The plan "fell apart" when the SUV ran low on fuel in the Boston area and the Tsarnaevs ordered the driver to pull into a gas station, Kelly said. The driver escaped during the refueling, he said, and police subsequently caught up with the Tsarnaevs.

The brothers had five pipe bombs and a "pressure-cooker bomb" -- the latter similar to the bombs used in the Boston blasts -- with them in the SUV, Kelly said.

Most definitely! But that will be some time down the road. Not right now. If at all, it would be well after trial. Terrorists are under a lot of restrictions, not just for their safety, for everyone else's.
