Female DNA Found on Bomb in Boston Attack
Investigators have found female DNA on at least one of the bombs used in the Boston Marathon attacks, though they haven't determined whose DNA it is or whether that means a woman helped the two...

(Hmm...hope it wasn't a pressure cooker she'd cooked with.)

Much ado has been made of this. If a wife calls a husband about a murder, a fire, a robbery that does not make them a murderer, ansonist or the armed robber

............DT revealed last weekend that she had called TT Thursday evening. They sure keep a tight lid.

From fourseasons article's link above:

Citing its sources in the Russian security services, Novaya Gazeta also reported that Tsarnaev had met multiple times in Dagestan with a suspected Islamist named Mahmud Mansur Nidal, an 18-year-old with mixed Kumyk and Palestinian ancestry. Russian operatives had been watching Nidal for a year as a suspected recruiter for local Islamist groups, according to Novaya Gazeta. That was why the FSB sent further requests to U.S. law-enforcement agencies after Tsarnaev’s alleged meetings with Nidal in Dagestan last year. Nidal was killed in a shootout with Russian police in May 2012, about two months before Tsarnaev went back to Boston from Dagestan.

From the above article:

FBI sources:
One official familiar with the case said agents went to the house Monday to collect a DNA sample from Ms. Russell, the culmination of days of negotiations. FBI officials also have been negotiating with Ms. Russell's attorney in recent days to get fuller access to question her, the officials familiar with the case said. The officials briefed on the investigation said the DNA request was needed to determine whether it matched the DNA found on the bomb remnants.

KT's lawyer:
Her lawyer has said she is "doing everything she can to assist with the investigation."

Seems to be a difference of opinion on the process.

Man, I am telling you -- it is so no longer about the right to know - those in power just control everything. What public security could possibly occur - and it certainly is not like this is a murder mystery!

I am confident all of us can , without training, conclude that he died from blood loss as a result of playing around and tossing bombs, 100's of bullets flying all over the place.

I also, do think that we would see severe injury as a result of being dragged across pavement, and high speeds for approx 20 feet.

None of us are expecting cause to be a heart attack, now do we!

OMG! It could have been a pressure cooker she handled, but not in a criminal way.

ETA: couldn't the female DNA on the bomb have come from one of the victims? I would think it could via splashed blood and body fluids.

There are many pieces of evidence to analyze...including the emptied firework components that were found in the Planet Aid clothing donation box. That box apparently being close to the Gerry's restaurant. The same restaurant that was called from one cellphones of one of the three Waltham murder victims.

" Last week, another strange link emerged between the accused Boston bomber and the triple murder case. Investigators were called to the parking lot of Gerry's Italian Kitchen on Belmont Street in Watertown. A Planet Aid driver had stumbled upon discarded fireworks in a donation bin there. Law enforcement sources told ABC News that the gunpowder had been emptied from the fireworks and the shells discarded in a shopping bag inside the bin. Investigators put the bins on a flatbed truck and drove them away as possible evidence in the bombing case.

Gerry's Italian Kitchen also surfaced in the triple murder case.

The last time anyone is known to have heard from the three men was at 8:54 p.m. on Sept. 11, when someone called Gerry's on Weissman's cell phone and ordered meatballs, a chicken cutlet and a side order of sausage. When a delivery woman arrived twenty minutes later there was no answer and no one picked up when they tried to call Weissman" http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/bosto...er-case/story?id=19063282&page=2#.UX7iQEpRySp

"After Plotnikov was killed in Dagestan, Tamerlane Starwave, the prime suspect in the Boston bombings, left the region and went back to the U.S. in an apparent hurry. He did not even wait to pick up his new Russian passport, which his parents claim to be the reason he came to Russia in the first place.

That is stunning. Maybe the world has been viewing this totally wrong. Maybe he went over there to stay and never come back.

It fits with his increasingly aggressive verbalizations with the passage of time.

Could also explain why they are having such a hard time finding ties with terrorist training.

Maybe he just left here at first because he violently murdered three people, and hated it here anyhow , why not go back to homeland and family.
.

Then when he gets there he ends up having to flee there , gets back here , and his disenchantment escalates (which explains , even for the older one, when young appearred connected and caring for his family IMOP)

Amazing notion, and again answers stuff……….

He had no plans to return when he first left......humm

A PS here -if one thought they might get entangled with LE in Russia or the USA -- where would most people head off to!

He did have what appeared to be a very deep gaping irregular gash along the left rib cage. That wound does not look to have been made by a scalpel to access the heart for massage. It is just not clean enough!

I agree , kinda of setting wherein all kinds of stuff, blood, body parts etc are all evrywhere - would be pretty hard to say with certainty what came from where.

When Google translated, this articles says:

Sources say that the Tarnaev and Nidal met four times in the mosque known for salafističkoj propaganda in the capital of Dagestan Makhachkala.

There are an estimated half million illegal entries into the United States each year.[21]

Mohamed Atta and two of his co-conspirators had expired visas when they executed the September 11 attacks

National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States found that the government inadequately tracked those with expired tourist or student visas.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illegal_immigration_to_the_United_States#Illegal_entry

8 of the 19 9-11 folks were illegal:

Vice Chair Lee H. Hamilton and Commissioner Slade Gorton of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States has stated that of the nineteen hijackers of the September 11, 2001 attacks, "Two hijackers could have been denied admission at the port on entry based on violations of immigration rules governing terms of admission. Three hijackers violated the immigration laws after entry, one by failing to enroll in school as declared, and two by overstays of their terms of admission......
