Yes, but if KT's DNA is found on any component...she will have some explaining; especially if it is an inside part or a discarded part of a component. She supposedly was at work so her DNA should not be found on anything retrieved at the marathon site- except maybe the outside of the pressure cooker or backpack which she could have innocently touched.

And if it was determined to match KT's (KR's) DNA, one would hope the matched DNA is on something other than the pressure cooker itself. For all we know, one of the several pressure cookers used for bomb-making could've come from TT & KT's kitchen, and the DNA on it from her putting it away after washing it. Unless she's got DNA on the circuit board or some other component, her DNA on part of one pressure cooker is not all that incriminating (if it's only on one bomb, and if it's a pressure cooker bomb).

JMO, but I'd say any part of the pressure cooker would be insignificant. I handle both inside and outside parts of heavy cooking pans when putting them away, stacking them together, etc., after washing up.

The pressure cookers came from Macy's, reported earlier in the investigation. Fagor brand IIRC.

Yes, they bought brand new pressure cookers from Macy's. I haven't seen a pressure cooker used since the fifties when my family members canned. My mom was scared of them and never used one. They are safer today, but still not what I'd call in common use by younger people. Anyway, I doubt there was a pot roast in the presser cooker one day and nails the next.

KT's lawyer:
Her lawyer has said she is "doing everything she can to assist with the investigation."

Seems to be a difference of opinion on the process.

I was surprised there wasn't any statement when DT revealed last weekend that she had called TT Thursday evening. They sure keep a tight lid.



So many murderers have been described as nice and sweet by friends, neighbours and family members, it really doesn't mean a thing. you never know what boils underneath .... creepy. This "nice" boy-next-door blew up a child!

I have used one and I am 30. I learned to cook with one. My grandma always made her stews in a pressure cooker and I do also. I know it is rare though, I have had enough people ask me about it. I don't know I think it may just depend on what you learned to cook with.

We never did. When I moved to a hot and humid city is when I first ever saw one. Lots use them for cooking beans, stews, tough meat, what have you, quickly. Keeps the heat down in the house.

I doubt the DNA issue has to do with the actual pressure cooker though.

Those events will inevitably lose some of their carefree character, a serious loss in itself since democracy thrives on free streets and open events. So the damage from the Boston marathon bombing will be ongoing and nationwide.

You know, it sounds to me more like a ramping-up pressure tactic. They took her DNA to try to make her nervous, IMO. I mean, if the presence of the female DNA is already admitted to not necessarily mean said female helped in the attack, then why would they take her sample? It won't be conclusive.

There were I think at least 5 pressure cooker bombs recovered (some were not detonated), and I believe they said at least 2 were purchased from Macy's (going on memory here).

Two bombs were at the marathon, one was hurled at LE during the two brothers' shootout in the early morning hours that Friday, and at least a couple more were recovered later during searches of the car and/or apt.
