I HOPE that I can very respectfully address this question, with some productive thoughts:

1. GREAT IDEA! Anyone going to search might also want to add to their 'bring along/prepare' list an extra flat or two of bottled water.
2. On the other hand, "THANK YOU and HEARTFELT KUDOS," to all of you volunteer searchers who have dug so deep in your own pockets to pay for gas, airfare, hotel &/or camping accommodations to put yourselves out there to help find Caylee and honour her with dignity and respect.
3. We understand that for many of you, BEING THERE was something you could do for this Baby - that we can't - and we wish we could. So, we'll support you ALL as we can.
4. We understand that flats of water and food-stuffs might not have been permissible as part of your carry-on luggage or, 'You're eating burger surprise casserole for the rest of this month so we can bring Caylee home,' budget.
5. You're there, doing what each and every one of us wishes we could do - trying to bring this sweet Baby to a place where we can all focus upon specifically.

Let's not let this thread digress into 'shoulda, coulda, woulda,' recriminations.

Tell us what you need, suggest how we can get it to you, and know that we are listening with every single step you take to find Caylee this weekend.

And we wish we were there with you.

"In the Arms of an Angel" - or thousands of Angels. All of whom need our help - and water.

From all of us searchers here in FL thank you for the tremendous support from the rest of you that couldn't be here - we understand and we are doing this for Caylee #1, TES #2 and the rest of you #3!!

FEMA water??!! LOL:waitasec: Been here all my life, tons of hurricanes, never saw or heard FEMA!! Everything was a temp booth, a website and forms - I didn't have much damage but friends did - hubby and other friends helped them. We did have quite an over abundance of ice though - they couldn't GIVE it away at the time. FEMA couldn't afford storage so McDonald's bought it all, stored it and sells it for $1 a bag!!

I am in Brevard County (near Cocoa Beach), I will be loading up with water and ice. I figure every one of us WSers that doesn't dip into their water will help. I talked to my local BJs Wholesale today. They didn't have a manager to authorize any donation but told me whole heartedly to call every BJs in Orlando. Each store's manager is empowered to donate so a little pressure should do it! They have cases of water, cups, snacks, etc all in HUGE quantities. Could you all find the numbers in Orlando (one on Colonial Drive aka Hwy 50 right by Blanchard Park) and call tonight and tomorrow? They are open I think til 10PM EST.

I need an OK and agreement to do this so who do I ask?

I work at KSC and as an employee we were given some BEAUTIFUL posters of a rare event - both shuttles on twin launch pads at the same time. They are 11X17 and not available to the public. We rarely get these special perks so they are collectible. Didn't cost me anything and there were 3 angles up close.

I selected the best one in my opinion and found a perfect frame at Walmart for $4. I would like to write something on it like "Thank you TES with heartfelt gratitude for Caylee" and sign it, "America's Websleuths" and if I can get close enough present it to Tim M. or someone (who?) with TES. Maybe get a picture that I can post for everyone to see.

Don't want to do this without permission and blessings from eveyrone so what do you think?

When using the Websleuths name, I'd talk to Trish...pm her. :) That's my 2 cents.

I just did a search for bottle water in the area. Local business can only donate so much. Many of us want to help. Maybe we can buy bottle water from these folks, and they can deliever it. They have all ready donated some water. Don't know how much.

Murt is getting folks to order pizzia, etc. from local fast food places and having it delievered. I dont know how to get the water idea to him.

I just think buying direct will be more bang for the buck when it comes to water.

why didnt they tell searchers to bring thier own food and water?

why didnt they tell searchers to bring thier own food and water?

Those are the folks that are willing to go into the woods, get the aches and scrapes.

I'm just thankful they showed up.

I'm close, but I can't show up. Folks traveled to be there. Bought plane tickets.. AT least the rest of us can do is provide the water, etc.

Wouldn't that mean if it were delivered TES would have to pay for it?

Rant time- Alot of people on the Murt cam chat are asking why Tes and the volunteers are needing food and water so bad, and how come they didnt bring their own, and my answer is this.......these people have either taken time off from work (losing money) or just plain volunteering their time to find this beautiful little girl, they shouldnt be expected to bring their own supplies too! its the least anyone can do for them as "payment" for their help! Am I the only one who feels this way?? I hope lots of food and water get donated today for the search!!

Well I think it is only common sense for people to bring a water supply for themselves as well as snackfood. TES has gotten a lot of donations from people who can't be there to search or who want to donate for whatever reason, but it's unfair to expect that they will have to resource water for more than 3,000 people when people could have taken their own.

Hopefully they can find a big business to donate so that TES does not have to further reach into their own pockets to supply water. TES already have enough responsibilities and their focus should be on Caylee - it would cost very little for searchers to have supplied bottles of water for themselves or to fill bottles from home. I'm sure though that people who have done bush walking or been to similar events have provided for themselves.

ok, I guess I agree with this too.....I see both sides of it. It IS all about Caylee and bringing her home to rest.
