Because there's now a separate Caylee tipline posted on their website?

NEW Caylee Anthony Tipline

You're right tho. I would call 911 or my local police. I wouldn't even think to go online and find a number.
How about copying down a license plate number? Ya know I would kinda feel really sorry for the family having to field all these "false" sightings if it wasn't for the fact that they're asking for it (and I don't mean that in a bad way).

I'd just like to know how many calls actually come in with "sightings" of Caylee and wonder what would happen if two came in at the same time from different parts of the country how could Cindy go to both locations? :waitasec:
Supposedly she has 2 PIs for that one! (Woohoo! They get more free vacation days on someone else's dime that way!)

Now that is a novel idea, too!!! I suppose it never dawned on them they could program it into their phone right there in the same place where they could dial 911 for immediate help tho.

I keep thinking about the search supposedly done on her computer for "sinkholes". (No...I don't remember where I heard it and no...I have no link!)

I researched sinkholes in Florida and found most are lakes now! How scary is that?!

IIRC, it wasn't a search... it was on her StumbleUpon page.

I also remember one of the daily blogs had a post about sinkholes with some neat pictures one day & I bet a lot of people shared a link so it never seemed too ominous to me.

But the chloroform search IS very ominous anyway I look at that.

Bare with me here...but if Casey was smart enough to know how to switch the sim card back and forth, why are they relying so much on the cell phone pings? Maybe the "well dressed man" was doing all of those text messages? While she was somewhere else dumping the body? She knows that they can get the pings.

Great point. George was saying in his interview that KC is really good with technology, computers and phones, stuff like that. She probably does know enough about the phones and how they work. Me, I had never heard of a ping before this case...

Also,
A lot of these pings only prove that KC's "PHONE" was in a certain area....That doesn't mean that KC was

If she knows all about Pings she could have left he phone at Tony's house one night & then drove 20 miles away & buried Caylee.

Her cell would be Pinging at Tony's - meanwhile she's 20 miles away

I don't believe any of these sightings would be Caylee, even IF there wasn't the decomp evidence. Who in their right mind would take that child into the public? I mean come on, she's all over the news! And if someone really had her, they'd know this. They would be laying low right now.
Joseph Duncan took Shasta Groene out in public, and Elizabeth Smart's kidnappers did too although she was in disguise. It does happen, but I'll never believe Caylee was kidnapped. MOO

That's a good point.

WHY does Cindy not emphasize call 911 and let the police investigate right away. Don't let precious time slip away. Get the police there. They will contact us ... Caylee's life depends on it ... etc.

License plate?

Heck, we never hear ANYTHING about who is with the child.... male.. female... color... general age.... nothing!!

Just........ we saw a little girl who looks a little like Caylee.

Miller said he doubts Caylee's remains will ever be found, unless Casey Anthony comes out with more information.

"No way in the world will I ever believe Caylee is alive, but I will support the Anthonys in anything they're going to do," Miller said.

Overnight, Cindy Anthony said she and her husband, George, drove to Gainesville to follow up on a possible Caylee sighting.

"They saw a little girl with a gentleman shopping in a store, gave us a call and said, 'I think you need to check this out,'" she said.

The Anthonys said they could not tell the child's identity from a store security video, but they hope to find out on Monday.

Cindy Anthony also commented on what WESH 2 News first reported on Thursday that the state is doubtful they have enough aggravating factors to go for the death penalty against Casey Anthony.

The state attorney's office said the death penalty is not off the table. But they said they do doubt they have enough aggravating factors to pursue a death sentence as the case stands now.

A judge is set to have a hearing on a sweeping gag order on Monday.

That gag order includes the Anthonys. Cindy Anthony said their attorney will argue against the gag order, saying it's an unfair restriction on their right to free speech.

Is it just me, or is anyone else having any problems picturing this scene... GA and CA maintaining their composure all along the drive to Gainesville and back, wearing straight faces, pursuing the latest "sighting..." Maybe they are both sincerely "back" in denial, but to me GA just seems beaten, and there is something decidedly disingenuous about CA... TM is a better person than I am, I find it very hard to support this... JMO

Precisely why LE and FBI should be fielding the calls. They are experts in this and have no emotional stake. Plus, the A's running their own tip line would, imho (and only imho!) be possibly interfering in an ongoing police investigation, esp if they are not turning tips over to LE/FBI but following up on tips coming into this tipline themselves without alerting LE.

And I do mean all tips, not just the ones CA might think are important (remembering her not turning over JCP receipts upon request by LE because she thought there was nothing of value on them).

There are over 300 children unaccounted for in Florida per NCMEC. Clearly searches have to stop at some point.

And Tim, unlike most of us here, Tim Miller has personally experienced this kind of nightmare. Each search, in some way, has to trigger off a personal memory. I doubt anyone here is more disappointed or angry or sad or whatever than Tim Miller is tonight. But he has to eat his emotions and move on. Your in my prayers, Tim.

As to Cindy and George....Who in their right mind would bring Caylee into a store in Gainsville? Who in their right mind sees her, "thinks" it's her. and does nothing? Who in their right mind smells death so strongly that weeks later the memory makes them ill YET, even if the belief held is it's not Caylee, doesn't search for who was dead???

How big is the Anthony's above ground pool? How wide and how deep? I could see Casey putting the body into the pool (for whatever reason) and the body sinking to the bottom of the pool but floating a little bit out of her reach. Casey is dressed and doesn't want to get her clothes wet. She borrows the shovel to "fish" the body over to where she can get a grasp on it without having to actually get INTO the pool to retrieve it.

I don't know if I accept the "In and out of the car" theory - BUT - the neighbor did say that he saw her car backed up to the garage several times, not just once. Once to remove the body. Another time to steal the gasoline cans? Another time to take her own clothing items from the house?

I also am in agreement with other posters who feel that Casey's inherent laziness would preclude her having dug any kind of a hole, anywhere. I think she dumped the body somewhere - either into a dumpster or into water.
If into a dumpster, it would not have needed to be the Amscot dumpster just because her car was left parked next to it.

I think when she dumped the body into a dumpster she figured that next to a dumpster would be a good place to ditch her smelly car. But she was smart enough to take the car to a different dumpster.

I am just hoping that LE has lots and lots of circumstantial evidence like they had in the Scott Peterson case.

TES's search is NOT entirely over.

Earlier today I spoke with TES’s second-in-command at the Orlando search site, and she asked me to tell you that "searchers are still out, and the search will resume tomorrow." While I was on the phone, she confirmed this with Tim Miller.

I can only speculate about the reasons we're getting conflicting information from totally reliable sources (such as David Lohr), but I suspect it has much to do with TES trying to balance stark Reality against Determination and Commitment.

The turnout of searchers, especially today, looked pitifully small considering the areas needing to be thoroughly searched. If you haven't actually been at any of these sites, forget the mowed fields we saw on Murt's cameras and forget the media's aerial shots of picturesque clearings surrounded by woods and bounded by pretty vegetation.

The truth is that Orlando has sprouted up in the midst of hundreds of thousands of acres of swampy, alligator-infested, snake-infested, areas of dense foliage and trees. When you're up close and personal, at the edge of that barrier of trees and bushes, things look a lot different and a lot more foreboding.

To give you an idea, last month, on a sunny cheerful morning, I was privileged to be alone with 8 TES and LE people at the site where the Size 6 Disney dress was discovered. The site bordered a perfectly civilized 2 lane road directly behind an industrial complex, and while LE's amazing dogs darted in and out along the road, I decided I should make myself useful and do a little exploring like the others we’re doing.

I walked right up to that impenetrable barrier of thick green, shoved some branches aside, stepped forward, and realized that 20 feet in front of me there was an enchanting little pond surrounded by rocks and shaded with overhanging branches. I started to take another step forward when a middle-aged LE guy pleasantly insisted, “Here, let’s throw a couple stones in there first.” He handed me a stone roughly the size and shape of a hockey puck and kept a similar stone in his hand for himself.

Privately, I thought this was a very inappropriate time for us to have a “skipping stones” contest, but I acquiesced because, after all, he’s LE, and so I obediently flung my stone at the pond. I overshot the pond by an embarrassing distance, probably because my heart wasn’t in the game, or more likely, because I have lousy depth perception. “Your turn,” I told him, expecting him to mock my clumsy attempt, but all he did was hurl his own stone directly into the underbrush surrounding the edge of the pond. His shot wasn’t a whole lot better than mine, and I was going to mention that to him, but as his rock landed he whispered sort of imperatively, “Listen.”

I heard it immediately--a mysterious, exotic orchestra of Latin maracas. I’m a city girl, and I was enchanted by this unprecedented glimpse into Florida’s flora, fauna, and especially these delightfully noisy insects or frogs or whatever. “What’s making that sound?” I asked in a reverent whisper, tiptoeing forward another step.

He put a restraining hand on my arm. “Rattlesnakes.”

Even an Olympic medalist couldn't have competed with me that day in the "Screaming while Running" event that took place next.

Sorry this was so long. I wanted to help relieve the awful frustration and helplessness we're all feeling.

Respectfully snipped...

Yes, I'm having problems with the A's following up these leads.

Should they even be following up tips themselves? Did they take an LE with them? Did they notify any LE/FBI? I'm assuming, tho, they took their PI with them, at the very least? My, this is spooky if they did none of those things. If they didn't, LE should put a stop to this behaviour immediately. I wish I know the entire story of their trip to Gainesville....

LE/FBI should be investigating any and all tips, not the A's, imho.

My emotions are all over the place. I haven't been on all evening/night, and I hoped to log in and hear good information. Then I see that the search is off. What is going on? I don't think I can take it.

I'm sure Casey is celebrating tonight.

And Cindy must be happy that TES won't be around making things uncomfortable for her precious Casey.

Personally, I think it was just too much for Tim to pretend he wasn't totally disgusted by the way Caylee's family did not want anyone to find her body. He'll move on & help a family who DESERVES & WANTS to find their loved ones remains.

Caylee's better off in an unmarked grave... than with a family who would PROTECT the person who murdered her..... I've felt that way for a long time.

I'm anxious to find out WHY LE seems so sure Caylee's body cannot be in some landfill.

IMO, she could have be thrown away in some dumpster OR maybe Casey waited around until a gator showed up & KNOWS there was no chance any evidence would be found. And I wouldn't put it past Casey to have brought some food to ENTICE the gators to show up quickly.... after all, there was partying to do & guys to bed... she didn't have all day to spend dumping the brat's body.

I'm just SO sickened by today's turn of events AND the whole family's protection of this piece of crap they call Casey.
----------------
Yes! to all you said. CA better not be too happy.CA keeps saying Caylee is still alive, wake up CA. not finding her body means no such thing. Caylee was murdered. Not finding the body simply means a good job of hiding it was done.I wonder if anyone has ever suggested to her that she may have been placed with the gators.. I would lose my mind. I'd be happy only if my grandhild was found alive but you are right she probably thinks no body~she's alive..
IMO
