I cannot imagine the pain her mother is going through. But as a mother of college age kids, the alcohol use/abuse is INSANE. Brie may not have been suicidal, but, if impaired, bad stuff happens. I wish this party culture would come down a few notches.

A mother says she is "destroyed" after her daughter Brianna Aguilera was found dead near the University of Texas at Austin.

Several sources stated that the phone was found near the creek. The nearest creek is several blocks away and is in the opposite direction of the stadium. Pin is where her body was found. The nearest creek is to the left. Stadium is on the right.

Lots of important info in the mother's interview with Nancy Grace. Brianna was supposedly fighting with one of the "friends" and there was a physical altercation.

Police reveal how college student died after attending tailgate party
Police in Texas have revealed more information about what happened to a Texas A&M sophomore who was found dead Saturday after attending a tailgate party.
The KHOU article up yonder names the tailgate as Austin Rugby Club, which is east of the stadium. There is a wooded area and creaks nearby.

So this is a beautiful young woman with dreams of law school who goes to a tailgate party, gets drunk (as millions of young people have done through the ages), calls her boyfriend late at night, and after a very short call, immediately runs out and jumps off a 17-story building??

Being young, attractive and intending to attend a law school does not make a person immune to suicide, particularly when alcohol is involved. The mother is in denial which is a pretty standard stage of the grieving process.
Police said Aguilera attended a tailgate party earlier in the evening and was asked to leave around 10pm because of her level of intoxication.
The camera system at the apartment complex she returned to helped establish a timeline of what happened next.
- Surveillance video showed Aguilera arriving at the apartment complex at 11 p.m. and going to a unit on the 17th floor.
- Around 12:30 a.m., a large group of people left the apartment, leaving Aguilera and three other young women inside.
- Phone records show Aguilera had a one-minute phone call with an out-of-town boyfriend from 12:43 to 12:44 a.m.
- Witnesses said she argued on the phone, which was later confirmed by the boyfriend.
- Just two minutes later, at 12:46 a.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting Aguilera’s body was found outside.
- Further investigation of Aguilera’s phone found she had written and deleted a suicide note dated Nov. 25, which was dedicated to specific people in her life.

The police have ruled it a suicide, which leads me to believe they have video of what happened as there are cameras on the apartment building. Authorities found a deleted suicide note on her phone, also friends said she confided being suicidal weeks leading up to this. New timeline released in the death of Texas A&M student Brianna Aguilera

Maybe she thought she was going to get kicked out of university for being "disorderly" or whatever. I know that doesn't sound rational, but it might seem so if you are drunk and everyone around you is acting weirded out.

I watched this episode of Nancy Grace. Without knowing any of the evidence, she's already drawn conclusions that frankly are irresponsible based on what LE investigators have already released. She's trying to get views, but she's also giving mother false hope (and feeding into her blame others narrative).
There's supposed to be a press conference today with the mother and her attorney. Any news on that?
